Well done so far everyone! I'm feeling very proud as I had a weekend with my two best girly mates and there was some shopping involved but I bought... nothing! Even made it round Primark without spending a thing - don't think that's ever happened before!
Got a few bits and pieces as late birthday pressies from them including a purse (desperately needed a new one) and some jewellery, which I must admit did help to get rid of the temptation to treat myself to a few bits.

Hi everyone. Yesterday a friend was telling me about some amazing bargains she'd got in the sales. I made a mental note to check them out. Then, this morning, I woke up remembering this challenge. I think it is worth stocking up on things you need if you can find them in the sales, even though it is only January. I looked in my wardrobe and can honestly say I don't need anything (except maybe a black cardi). So I'm going to give the sales and temptation a miss!
I was looking at the M&S magazine (just a big fat advert!) and was really tempted by a few things, including a blue everyday dress. In my wardrobe, there are two (one unworn!) blue everyday dresses. So, that's £45 saved.
It's hard not spending!
Keep up the good work everyone!Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0 -

Have reigned my urges in (for now at least) but to cheer myself up I'm going to venture to a charity shop in the posh part of town tomorrow - its the first time so wish me luck!
Well done TheCheapFashionista and chuggingtongirl for resisting the urge!! I did too, but it was soooooo hard! :T
Good luck in the charity shop, let us know how you got on!!
Still resisting the shopping urge at the moment, but only just. Don't know why as I have a wardrobe full of clothes that hardly ever see the light of day! Maybe now's the time to customise what I already have??

Something came up, so I have still not had time to try on and decide about the cardies; cos it was £29.99 or 2 for £30, if I decide against one, both are going back, end of story.
Otherwise, broke and untempted PLUS Lipsy are going to be giving me a refund for a pre-Xmas purchase as I have still not received my dress and I've had enough of them ignoring my emails.0 -
I think sales are my problem which is why Jan is hard for me.Although Ive stayed away from the shops which has helped alot!!
FAIRYSNOW...72 Items is amazing!! well done you.Just think how much money you will make : )
I ebayed a bit last week and was really pleased to make well over £50 but I get stuck though after a while as I run out of things to ebay! I have loads of clutter but alot is worthless or needed! I need to lose more weight though as I can ebay clothes and still have clothes to fit into as got a box of the size below which 'used' to fit!'
Well done to those resisting the sequin blazer... : )Weekly Spend Challenge £200 -
