Ok here to confess, feel bad now with everyone else doing so good! I have spent another £22, on two long sleeved tops (which I can wear under various other tops) and a waistcoat on sale from DP's, not sure about the waistcoat but think it could be versatile. Was £10 for that so might return it if I haven't worn it within a week or two. So that's me with £69 left now, god help me!

I spent £30 on trainers last weekend. They were needed in a way, but I should have bought sports ones really rather than skate shoes. Ho hum, they will be worn lots and allow me to save my boots for work.
No longer using this account for new posts from 2013
  • If it's not too late I'd love to sign up please (if men are allowed!).

I do most of my clothes shopping in charity shops and I reckon I can manage under £100 this year.

I bought my first item yeterday, a jumper from the local Hospice charity shop for £4-80 so my total currently stands at £95-20.
  • Can i please sign up.
I am new to the site and has recently done a budget (which shocked me to no end) i can quite easily spend £100 a month on clothes so this will be EXTREMELY tough for me!!!- But i need to cut down

  • Hello Please may I join in too?

When asked at work what my New Years Resolution was I said that it was not to buy any "new" clothes this year. Some of my colleagues laughed and others inspired!

Just before Christmas I had swapped bedrooms with one of my daughters and it was then I realsied when having to move all the clothes and sort them out that I already had a new wardrobe of clothes starring at me- it was just that I did not look after the clothes I already had. I hate ironing so used to throw clothes into drawers in bundles or leave them in the ironing pile for later- that meant I tended to wear the same thing all the time.
So I went through all my clothes - with a pile of clothes to be ebayed/carbooted/freecycled/charity or whatever and then I set on and ironed the rest (watching tv to take mind of the task!)and put them away properly!:j
I had some Christmas money and instead of hitting the sales I bought some of those really thin black velour clothes hangers - now inside my wardrobe looks like my own boutique as I put everything in colour order and the hangers match too! And at the moment am keeping up with it.
But just to keep my sanity I said no "new" clothes - so will buy at chartiy shops etc. In fact last week my local hospice shop had a half price sale and I bought a little brown polka dot shirt,a beige jumper with a little white blouse attached to it (both Monsoon) and a little ditsy flowered shirt form Top shop for £4.50. And I have worn all of them!

Oh and I did say to myself for every "new" piece of item that goes into my wardrobe -2 pieces come out(to re-sell/charity).

My work unifrom is provided and I will have to buy new shoes so can't include those in my budget.......
So put me down for £100 please( less the £4.50) -am sooooo pleased I found this thread! It's really made my day -I thought I was alone!:D
