Isn't this great. I bought a lovely purple skirt from Per Una with my £3 in vouchers (£25), then yesterday I took it back because I already had a purple skirt. It really focuses the mind.

  • Lula: Well done on this thread getting into the weekly email!!

As for your tip, thank you, but to be honest, I've too much underwear already. I could do with some more "pretty" stuff but don't need it at the moment so will stay away.

I am going to get that blouse, when I get a decent discount code, which won't be long, I'm sure as I've never paid full price for anything on the site PLUS I also have a £20 gift voucher code to use towards it. :)

    Thanks Lula!!!
It was a great day and I was thoroughly spoilt by all! Now trying to catch up on ebay activity and sort out what my money is doing! The slow snow post is doing my head in as my Oxfam skirt hasn't arrived yet and neither have some of my birthday cards...oh well, it'll be like having a second birthday when it does all arrive!

I only say this is as when I went to add new members to the first page, there was a great big banner at the bottom.

    Anyway ...

Hello & welcome to lexielou7 :hello:

Well done on returning the skirt butti - my wardrobe used to be full of things that were never taken back because they were 'only £3 in the sale'. I ruthlessly cleared out all the stuff I never wore & took it to a charity shop. I think I have now cured myself of buying stuff just because it's cheap.

A friend of mine actually put the sales into perspective for me by telling me :

" I dont do sales, if I didnt like something enough to buy it at full price, then I'm not going to buy it just because it's cheaper".

It took me a while to see her point but now I get it & have probably saved a lot of money.

  • Sounds like just what I need to keep me on the straight and narrow!

Just read most of the thread and I'm sure I can shop from my own wardrobe too as I have loads of stuff. I've got a clothes party to go to in a month but will only spend proceeds from car boot/ ebay - or will have to do without:D
