  • Well, I bought 2 cardigans for £30 the other day but haven't had time to decide if I am going to keep them or not. They were £29.99 each or 2 for £30 in Republic.
  • I ordered a blouse from M&S (£15 with £10 off). I really like it so might keep it.

    Hi everyone,

I think Id like to join this challenge, best start at £200, I know I normally spend way more than that...because I always think Ill put 'my bargains' on eBay if they dont fit, look bad etc but rarely end up doing that, they mostly stay stuck in my wardrobe in the hope they'll look good on me one day. :D
    Tesco points £70 - Boots points £62
My Challenges 1, not buy any chocolate in 2010 (once all the left overs have gone...failed 24/6):eek:2, Get myself under 10st and stay that way. :j3, Food shop £134/200 June 2010. 4, Stay debt free! :T
    NSD 12/12 - CC £100/£200
  • Up to £18, all in Primark!
    Debt at 1/1/11 £7,049.75, now £6,682.12 at 9/3/11
  • Hello everybody! May I please join in..? We're saving up for a wedding this time next year!

I've got a wardrobe literally full to bursting of clothes I never look near because they're all crammed in there in piles...! I'll use the £100 to purchase 'smart' bits & pieces throughout the year to make the most of the clothes I already have! I spent £22 in next yesterday on a pair of smart black jeans which will open up a lot of new outfits from the smart tops I already own, which although >1/5 of the money, I'm really pleased about! To be honest, if I could do with anything, its a few casual vest tops / cardies.

Plan to spend evenings this week sorting out my wardrobe and putting things on hangers - 'Shop from my own wardrobe' lol. I had been eyeing up this thread for a while but this morning discovering a LOVELY pair of distressed blue jeans I had completely forgotten I owned shoved in a ball in the back of my wardrobe sealed the deal. I don't NEED OR WANT to spend any more than £100 this year on clothes!! :T No more being wasteful!! That includes shoes / bags btw, but not underwear etc.

I'll keep work outfits separate but to be honest, I've got plenty to keep me going from the things I have. Plus for the next 4 months I don't need any smart work clothes so that'll preserve them a bit!

The money that I save should cover the bridesmaids outfits easily :D

  • My new years resolution was to only buy clothes from Charity shops for myself, I managed to buy a pair of leather knee high boots for £8.00 look new and they are comfortable what a result. I'm lucky as my daughters give me quite a lot. Don't want to put an amount on it but I reakon it will be less than £50 as I have quite a lot already. Great idea.
    Vanquis card -£915.45
    Virgin - £2,258.24
  • Lula, I've resisted the blouse PLUS got just over £150 refunded for a pair of jeans bought late last year. If Lipsy don't deliver the dress I bought in December to be worn at a Xmas party but which still hasn't arrived, I'll be getting a refund from them as well.

In fact, I even managed to curb my underwear obsession despite finding a nice bra for £3 in the M&S sale yesterday. This thread is therapeutic after all.
