Hello & welcome to Mavvysmum :hello:will add you to the inmates list in a bit.

New Clothes to rictus, Mariel & natsing :).

I've not yet had a reply from the ebay seller re the dodgy dress  come monday I'll be leaving feedback ...

Lesson learned  & will just have to save my 9991 pennies for some quality items that are seen before being bought.

    bye for now :D
  • I love this thread! It's so inspiring. Lula-Hula, you are an angel for managing it. Maybe you should mention to your ebay shoody-goods-seller that you have contacts in the MSE world and that a bad reputation could be the end of her ebaying days!

I'm going to go into town tomorrow to return my must-have dress so I'm hoping that by the end of tomorrow, my total spend will be back to £0 instead of £25. I'll keep you posted! Must not buy anything else! Actually, secretly hoping the dress is massively reduced so I can just buy cheaper version, although I'm not expecting this to actually happen.

  • Went food shopping yesterday and had a look around, the clothes section in Asda, I did buy some clothes but all for work, even then I bought all to mix and match.

    3 x Blouses = £14.50
    2 x Trousers = £7.00
    1 x Cardi = £10.00

Total = £31.50 for 5 outfits to mix and match, not bad eh?? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have to declare I bought lil one pack of 2 long sleeve t-shirts for £2.00 quid though  naughty naughty. (but at least it's not coming outta my budget!)

Keep gong all we'll get there!!
    :A

    Well,
I was spoilt rotton yesterday as a birthday treat and OH spent a ridiculous amont of money on some new walking boots, a bodywarmer, some running tights and a running top for me! Totaling nearly twice my yearly clothes budget  But luckily for me it was all as presents...yay! Also, some great news on the ebay front as I have made over £50 from selling old clothes, have bought a jam kettle (following the OS troop!) using some of it but will work out what is left and will a bit to my clothes budget and then the rest will go in VSP.

Will be back later to update!

Just to update.....still no spends this year for OH and I so total is still £100 each.
I may have to buy some walking boots as mine do appear to be leaking.....is that taken off the budget??Sorry I cant recall whether shoes were classed as essentials....or is it just shoes needed for everyday wear??
    Thanks again xx

    Hi bethg2009,

I worked that out to be a potential of 14 different outfits,

Trousers (a) with one of 3 blouses
Trousers (b) with one of 3 blouses
Trousers (a) with one of 3 blouses plus cardi
Trousers (b) with one of 3 blouses plus cardi
Depending on how daring you are, and the style of cardi you also have the option of trousers with just the cardi = another 2 outfits.

If I've done that correctly then 31.50 for 14 outfits is fantastic!!!

Resisted all temptation today, my car almost ended up at the shops (was coming home from OH's), but it seen sense and went to the planned supermarket shop instead. Purposefully went to Morrisons as they don't sell clothes, and managed to get home un-scathed. Wore one of my jumper dresses last night, glad I bought it now.
