Hi. Am amazed at self! Full of resolve, I took dress out of wardrobe to return to shop. Had a wobbly moment seeing how nice it is but realised I had a similar but nicer dress already so took it back. Did have a sneaky look to see whether it had been reduced further (maybe to about £5!) but no so I got my lovely cash back. Now have a massive £100 to last me the whole year! Yay! Oh, it's only the 10th of Jan. Keep up the good work everyone!Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0

Hi there,
I am a newbie and I very interested in joining the challenge if its not too late!
I spend far too much on clothes as it is which was only confirmed when I sorted out my wardrobe last week and found 4 near identical grey dresses!!
My aim is to spend no more than £120 on clothes this year!
Many thanks

Hello all, still no spend here - bought some underwear in the £1 m&s sale but it's not coming off my budget. Keep looking at North Face coats but I can't justify it. Will just have to keep wearing my old jacket with a fleece. Have to save up for a wetsuit as well for the Great North Swim in Sept

Hello & welcome sarahangel :hello:,

Sympathy on the coat yearning alison10011 - hmmmm, a coat was one of my succesful ebays buys - I got a pink oasis coat for £10 a couple of years ago, fits perfectly & in great condition
Still unhappy about the dress but think I might be able to take the sleeves off which would solve the problem ... would prefer a refund though
Off to update front page,
bye for now & back to school & work tomorrow so might be absent for a couple of days

Hey everyone,
Happy New Free Clothesniksyg
I think we're all doing well
Thanks lula! Have just added another 23 items to sell on ebay this evening:eek: We moved to this house in September and OH sajd when he saw the pile "are you telling me that we had to pack and move all of this just for you to sell it anyway??!" Still haven't managed to sort out what can be added to my clothes budget - eyes hurt from mad ebay selling but will def sort it tomorrow, or maybe not as it'll be my birthday....Tuesday then!

for me it was confimed when i found out i had 12 black identical t-shirts.
And mine was when I found I had 6 more or less identical black cardigans, and 5 identical black skirts........ (not to mention the 3 identical grey skirts, the 5 identical navy skirts ... and I haven't even started on the tops yet). I really do NOT need any more clothes at the moment.....
Hi raven, hope you're OK and not too freezing, fingers crossed your heating is fixed tomorrow.
Hi to everyone else,
Well, there are some great bargains being found and some very good returning of purchases going on.
Well done everyone, I think we may all just make the challenge this year and Lula will be so proud of us all!
Still have nothing to declare, haven't been out of the house for the last couple of days as our road is still like a bloomin' skating rink.
Keep going, we'll get there....The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

I'd love to join please! £100 should be easily achievable, provided my running clothes don't perish +I'm not invited to any surprise weddings!0

Spent another £13.30 on a dress.
It's the same as the other dress I bought, however it's in the colour I really wanted, so will probably return the other, depending on which suits me bestStarting debt: 3399.39 / Debt now: 2975.39VSP Challenge 2012: £39.58/£100 Crazy Clothes Challenge 2012: £3.00/£150

Needed a hat to run in as it is so cold outside - but - instead of buying one, I have borrowed one of my OH's!!! so still not a penny spent on clothes for either myself or the OH or DS x 2! I have looked at my youngest DS and will probably need to buy him new school shoes soon! I will try to polish them but they are looking rather rank! Shoes are the only thing I will not buy second hand or cheap... I may need to remove them from the challenge! aaarrrhhhgggWell lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!
