Hmm well I did spend but I also resisted lots, I have yet to try on a few things so I wont declare them yet...as they may be going back!!
I found a pair of Red Shoes reduced to £6 !!! Bargin, as that is only £3 a foot...or 60p per toe!!!! I have also been looking for some going out red shoes for a while.
I also bought two pashminas from Primarni...only £2.50 each!! A similar one (though it was better quality) was in Marks' for £25.
So declaring £11 at the minute and am going to try on a dress and jumper later, not sure on them yet!LBM Total: £33356 15/11/09  £6085.63 paid

Is anyone else finding themselves spending more money on other things to compensate for the lack of clothes shopping? I am regularly buying junk food e.g. cakes, sweets, chocolate at around £5-8 each occasion!0

Hmm no, but I have come to realise that shopping and eating are things I do when I am fed up!!

Fairysnow - we live in the same county, & you've convinced me now
I was talking to the girls at work today and one of them says one of the best charity shops she goes into is in Woking. I've always found Dorking chairty shops to be really good!
Well done to all fessing up... it's going to be hard! I am just going to avoid the shops for a while!!10 -
Ok - don't laugh! I bought some thermals!! Am sick of being feezing cold!!

Hello all,
First of all Happy New Clothesto museumworker , elfen, chops22 & JayneC
TheCheapFashionista - alterations are 'free', as is dyeing clothes to renovate them
lisainglasgow - sorry, but I am completely confused about your purchase; a £10 cardi is a £10 spend, not a £5 spend surely
chops22 - I absolutely love your shoes costing :T. I was gutted to receive an email from my favourite shoe supplier today; the boots I bought 2weeks ago, are now (so they happily inform me ) half price. Anyway, I have of course checked to see whether they are suitable to be returned but the love I have for them means they are clearly worn. I wont dwell on this as I wanted them enough to pay full price at the time & a large part of the cost was absorbed by a financial gift, but £6 a toe sounds much better than £12 a toe
Fuzzybear01 - yes, when I did this challenge last year I found that my shoes & bag consumption [STRIKE]crept [/STRIKE] ok leapt up instead.
In truth the first 18 months of my attempts to clear my CCs have been a bit half hearted. I've found that when I spent less, I ate more, or that when I ate less I'd drink more, drink less & then spend more etc etc. I think this is partly due to my debts never having been a problem in so much as I've always overpaid them & have no other arrears or financial problems, so never really took them that seriously. I also quit smoking about 18 months ago & have been carrying an extra stone since. Again, I didnt really worry too much about that stone until it became about 20lbs sometime last year .
To sum up; in 18 months I've gained 20lbs & only cleared about £600 off my CCs ( I pay hundreds each month, but then just use them again :wall:.)
I'm not young enough anymore to get away with this sort of childish behaviour so, this year I'm sorting it out.
luxor4t - I am almost rendered speechless. Your audacity & shamelessness is awesome :rotfl:0 -

As my wife is doing the same challenge as me and as we often share clothes we bought the cardi together so I spent £5 and she spent £5. As she is not on MSE her's won't be on here but it is on my spreadsheet.
Hope that helps!0
