    Hello everybody,

I haven't posted for quite a while, but I have read and caught up with all your posts, some really good bargains being acheived, well done all.

I still haven't got any spends to declare, although how much longer I can manage we'll just have to wait and see. I'm still needing a new pair of jeans, and at the moment I'm thinking I would like a thin spring/summer coat, but if I can put it off a bit longer then I might just get away without getting one.

I've had to throw out a couple of pairs of knick-knicks as they had been repaired so many times they were now beyond further repair, but I replaced those with some that were put to one side and reserved. Also needed to stitch a couple of bras and I'm thinking of getting some elastic to perk them up a bit.

At the same time am looking forward to opening the suitcase with all my summer stuff in and shopping from there for the next 5-6 months.

I recently had a birthday and someone bought me some clothes and a fashion bracelet, I wasn't too carried away with either so they were returned to the store and I now have a returns credit to spend within in the next 2 years, once spent I will put the equivalent amount against my debts/mortgate and declare the spend on here.

    So all-in-all, everything is good!

    Toodles

    Hi all,

Well i had a spend ended up spending £24.98 on two pairs of shoes. As my triners literally disintegrated and i nearly fell off a castle wall :o. the other pair are like summer clothes and because they black should go with everything i own *fingers crossed*.

How the moral question is should i add or leave them out of this challenge.
If i leave thme out i will have £88 to spend, add them in and that leave £63.02:eek:for the rest of the year.
    hmmm decisions, decisions.

Finally spent some money on personal clothes yesterday £5 for a grey suit jacket from Primark. It was on the SALE rail!

  • Hi all,
No new spends to declare and the next 3 weeks are all about downsizing and culling my excessive amounts of stuff in general...and no money to spend even if I wanted so problem solved. :)

    Hello fabbies,

seems like everyone is being very good now, apart from me :o. It's been sunny, I needed some new frocks & there have been sales ... £16 on a really lovely Asos maxi dress that will hide all manner of sins, another £10 on a pretty little ditsy floral number from New Look which will go over jeans or be fun on its own if I can bear to bare & £6 on a couple of organic cotton tops that were just waiting to be bought & can be worn for work or home so I'll declare them.

I've also bought myself a new wardrobe as my big treat for the year, old one was a temporary measure & nowhere near wide enough, I love to hang as much as possible, because I'm a lazy moo & dont wear half of my clothes as I cant be bothered to search through drawers to find things :o.

Anyway, it's being delivered on thursday so I'll be frantically painting my room this weekend & having a big declutter at the same time.

Kezlou - I dont count shoes, but it's up to you if you want to. 2 pairs for under £25 sounds very bargainous to me :A

Off to update totals & Luxor -I'm both surprised & impressed at your honest admission :rotfl:

I'm pretty sure vandalising your clothes in order to buy more might well constitute cheating ;):D.

niccatw - you have me sussed:rotfl:

Just to say that I haven't spent any more money on clothes but I have cadged two T-shirts off DD14 (needless to say they were too big for her!) so this has bailed me out for a while.

TBH I'm finding it really difficult to spend money even though I really need some Summer clothes - today everything was either too expensive or too flimsy! Just need to keep looking!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

Had to bin an old FCUK top...did get 8 years wear out of it though!!

No intention of buying anything new even though I don't have a playsuit and want one.

This month I am going to really declutter and am going to sell/bin/give away more stuff.

    :wave:Afternoon All

Popped into Asda on Friday with work colleague - there isn't one near us and its nice to have a look round a "different" store. I am thinking my jeans are looking a bit tatty so did say I was on a look out for new pair-have dyed them in the past but to be honest I think the fabric has "died"-not the colour this time.

Anyway my friend picked a few tops to try on - and I honestly can say that although the clothes were nice in there I was not bothered..
Couldn't either find a pair of jeans that I liked or if I did, they weren't in my size -did try on a t-shirt bra but although it said it was my size it gaped at the top of the cup so put it back.

Now in the past if I couldn't find what I wanted I would have bought something, anything to wear to fill that "gap"of not finding what I wanted in the first place- but not this time - both of us actually walked away from the store without buying a thing:A

    So no new spends either!:)

No April spends for me :T

Tumble dryer chewed up my favourite cheesecloth/embroided top yesterday so not happy :( . Was probably my fault for putting it in the tumble dryer. Still......one less top in the wardrobe. Makes deciding what to wear a smidgen bit easier! :)

This task has definitely been made easier by combining it with NSDs. I would have thought nothing about going into a CS once or twice a week to grab a bargain (never have been that extravagant :) ) but now I have to make sure I only go in on a spending day so not to ruin my NSD count!;)
Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!
