    good effort raven-333

I am still at £40 spent and no trips to the shops for me for a while as new pup is here and is a bit of a nervous/clingy one so not many outings planned until he settles in a bit.

Have a great Easter weekend :easter:

Thank goodness I am not officially taking part in this challenge because today I went on my first proper shopping trip of the year so far and this is what happened:

I tried on loads of dresses but didn't buy any.

I spent £12.90 in Primark on PJs and undies for me (have NO white underwear at ALL and need white for some of my summer gear) as well as a T shirt as a pressie for someone else. I then spent £8 on a PJ set for myself from New Look which I do need as I have no short sets, and £35 on a Stella McCartney for Gap Kids jumper for myself to replace the old jumper I binned yesterday plus the fact I was already low on jumpers and this is a bright one, well it is stripey :)

    Hello,

another week has shot by, but I'm off work-job for 10 days, well only 8 left now- so am feeling very relaxed.

Welcome to newcomer kezlou :hello: & Happy New Clothes to all that have them :j.

Debbiedeejay - pyjamas definitely dont couny, which is lucky as I'll need some soon, my fave pair split along the seam yesterday :(

makeup - I have also done the 'lift adjustment' thing & then realised it's on camera :o. As to you new jacket, - it sounds as though it's weather pffr one rather than just for fun so I will allow it for free :D.

I'm loving the knowledge that the superman tights club has quite a large membership :rotfl:.

I still havent lost enough weight to get into my summer clothes  so they are still packed away for now, but with the weather as it si, I think I still have time to shrink before sleeveless tops & shorts are required brrrrrrr :(.

Off to update the totals & not too much of this tomorrow : :EasterBun
  • Afraid I will have to bow out of challenge for this year . Will keep reading though to see how you're all getting on and to help me from spending too much.

somehow I appear to have lost weight (this is despite the fact I spent most of 2009 working out daily and lost about 5 lbs the whole year). Since Xmas I have lost the extra couple of pounds I put back on:o, and another 6lbs on top - and i have had an awful virus for 2 months so barely exercised. (confused smiley!)

I have a wedding next week, the dress I wore to 2 last year is now a bit big.. but luckily I could fit into one I wore 2 years ago, that I've never been able to fit into since! It also goes fabulously with the cropped Monsoon camel coat I picked up the other week;).

May mean I need to buy things in smaller sizes later in the challenge.... which might make this a tough year!

I have learnt never get rid of stuff that is too big for you, so anything outsized will go in the loft ready for my next weight gain:D

    Thank you Lula- Hula:)

It's the charity Ball in a couple of weeks and am still intending to wear the bright fushia long dress that I got off freecycle- but I need a wrap or cover up- I have scoured my wardrobe for evening tops and have found the following

    2 Black Evening cardie things
    1 Black shrug
1 white fluffy -fur type jacket/shrug
    1 black & silver cardie.

The black stuff looks too stark aginst the pink and the white one is fine but too warm to keep on indoors when I get there.

Was thinking of buying a metre or so of nice fabric (silk/organza) type to make a wrap maybe in a nice green colour(I was thinking of a contrasting colour)- Not sure though.

Need to add a tenner to my total please, had to buy some cami tops and a shirt as I have barely none.

But on the up side, I sorted out my clothes/shoes/coats and there's 6 bags waiting to go to the CS, and I fit into a 14 so they have come out of hiding into my drawers :)

    Please may I join?

I have a wardrobe full of clothes, so think I can commit to buying NO CLOTHES for the rest of the year.

Have a sewing machine, so if desperate can run something up or alter something!
Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!
