Suppose I should get out of bed, sort out breakfast, get dressed, do laundry etc. Then start packing, including Valli's list for the car

Monday Mayhem..

1. Make sure you have all the shopping you need to take you through to next week.. milk and bread especially! It is Bank Holiday on Monday so some shops are not open.. the big supermarkets are. Went to MrS this evening - blerdy disasterous - need to go again when I am able to concentrate and not wander round the aisles getting carp!! Going to try again tomorrow providing it stops snowing here.
2. S&S the bathroom/s and loo's
3. Clean the oven ready for your feast!
4. Change any bedding you need to get washed before the fat guy arrives.. and I do not mean the OH/parent/ etc
5. Catch up on the laundry .. ironing is tomorrows job!
6. Change pet bedding and wash blankies etc.. we don't want them putting you off your christmas sprouts!
7. Dust round the whole downstairs

Tuesday - Time's nearly up!!!

2. Iron yesterdays wash mountain
3. Vacuum through downstairs.. and the stairs!
8. Declutter your desk.. if it is anything like mine it is full of receipts and invoices!
10. Wash any soft furnishings in need of freshening up
11. Tidy up coats and shoes and suchlike
12. WRAP WRAP WRAP!

OMG - I keep thinking I'm on top of it all and then another list appears with more stuff on it that I need to do!!!
I've gotta go into work this morning but not going until 10.30ish [gives the roads a chance to clear a bit more before I hit them]
DH is at the Docs - trying to sort out Prostate probs so we're feeling kind of nervous
Pigpen - hope you are feeling a little less sore this morning and what terrible news for those young peoples families - condolances to you and your Mum
Soappie - hope you get your heating fixed this morning
Jassa - fantastic news - well done

Sorry but thats all I can remember - off to do the kitchen now

Washing on, washing in TD, and kitchen floor mopped. Will wait a bit till the floor is dry and then crack on....will prob start the ironing at 10:30, with This Morning.

Am up, dressed and breakfasted, and little black furry is installed on OH's dressing gown on the bed. Must find today's list and the remains of yesterday's to be getting on with.

OH emptied the dishwasher this morning, apart from the cutlery basket, so need to reload and empty. Also have a massive washing pile, so need to get lots of that done, as I'm running out of socks and underwear.

WD40 really is a wonder fluid!

Seems the fan had seized up so a couple of squirts of the magic liquid and I have a boiler that's working again. There is heat coming through the rads again though it'll take a while for the house to warm up. The sunshine burning through the fog will help though.

I'm a bit pessimistic though - I did a quick google on seized up fans and it seems the initial sieze up will mean a seize up again because it's getting old. But, as long as it gets us through Chrismas and Boxing Day I'll be happy.

I SHOULD go into work, but I really can't be bothered. My desk was clear when I left yesterday and all the students have gone back to Mummy and Daddy's for Christmas so I'll just not bother. (I told them yesterday, whether or not I came in depended on what time the BG engineer came so I'll just lie tomorrow then wash my mouth out with soap when I get home).

Right, celebratory fry up breakfast is called for I believe.

Morning all, Downstairs is all nice a sparkly due to yesterdays flying frenzy. It even survived the kids and DP....they normally trash it after ten minutes.
Todays tasks

Kids bedroom
My bedroom
Present wrapping
Get some more of my project done(needs to be finished by Wednesday night/early Thursday morning

Hmmmm.... doesnt look much but we'll see how it breaks down as I get things done

2. Make sure the last of the presents are wrapped I will not have people sitting up while 5am on Christmas morning wrapping! Nearly done...just DD's and OH's to do......

6. Change any bedding you need to get washed before the fat guy arrives.. and I do not mean the OH/parent/ etc

9. do a crazy HHC decluttering downstairs

1. Children... quick.. tidy your rooms you don't want Santa thinking you don't look after your stuff.. he might not leave any presents!

4. Get rid of the washing up.. delegation is good!
5. get out any special christmas crockery and make sur eit is all clean and nice to use.. placemats etc too!
6. Prepare a list for that last second shopping
7. Declutter your desk.. if it is anything like mine it is full of receipts and invoices!
8. Have a skim through the TV guide and decide what you want to watch.. it saves missing bits of stuff if you know what is on and when!! Don't forget to make time for Queenie!
9. Toy boxes can be banished upstairs!
10. Wash any soft furnishings in need of freshening up
11. Tidy up coats and shoes and suchlike
12. WRAP WRAP WRAP!
13. Make a note of when the binmen are coming!!!.....hopefully today....though no sign yet.....
14. Spend half an hour doing NOTHING!!.. absolutely nothing!!!! Just sit.. and relax with a drink and a treat!
