Talking of which all the plans for work and meeting friend have gone to pot and they want to meet at work Wed but friend cant make it and wants to meet tomorrow which means making almost the same journey 2 days in a row  plus since clearing the yard and the car we have had nearly another inch of snow and it hasnt stopped yet. Thats 7 inches of the white stuff since Thursday. I hope in a way it continues because then I can say sorry not bringing the car out with the roads like that. Only thing I feel guilty about is DD bought flowers to give to my friend tomorrow bless her. Will see what the morning brings.
No you don't want more. I want to get back to norfolk tomorrow!!! If you venture out, let me know what the roads are like going that way (and which way you go!). My dad says the main roads are OK, so I reckon I'll be OK as far as Bircham. Not sure about the best way to go after that

Listening to the radio - you've had one heck of a lot of snow in your area Greenbee - hope you don't have to travel out too far today
We've had lots. Car is under a snow drift, and as most of the neighbours have parked in the road, I'm quite likely to slide into them if I attempt to get out of the drive. I suspect my reflexology appointment will be cancelled - and I think I might have to cancel my leg wax too.

Can we please have snow melting and no freezing vibes for today/tomorrow/thursday for all those of us who need to travel please?

Thanks for all the hard work, Pigpen, Soappie and Toots. I'm still here, hanging on [STRIKE]grimly[/STRIKE] with a little more christmas spirit. OH couldn't get to work yesterday so helped me fly and we had inadvertently done lots of the list, yeah :D - Loving the lists Piggers btw :T

Thanks to all for the christmas cards and specially to Lady-L for being Santa's helper. Did send Marie Curie (donation made) e-cards for those who haven't seen them yet.

    Hugs to all x

Just what we needed just before christmas.. Becky was a nail technician/beautytherapist who worked at the place my mother has her nails done.. my mother was the first person she did eyebrow waxing and eyelash tinting on...

Oh how awful ... my thoughts are with their families and friends. Somehow doubly poignant at this time of year.

I'll echo that (I'm travelling on Friday!)

    BUT

    In your cars peeps

scrapers; hats;gloves; chocolate; boiled sweets; suitable walking footwear; torches; car chargers; fully charged and credited mobiles; coats; spare blankets (Primark do fleecy ones for £2.00) flasks of hot water; shovels...

Please DO NOT travel without suitable outdoor clothing then you can put it on if you're stuck!

Pigpen ~ So sorry to hear the news about your friend, sending my good thoughts and prayers to their friends and families.

Well yesterday I did get side-tracked by the party, which went on much later than any of us intended, but I am slowly starting to get things together:

Things are working differently this week.. 'cos I said so!

Off to ring my Mum and see if we can make a trip over to visit my Godmother....The roads are pretty good round here ( Norfolk), but side roads are still slippy, we had trouble getting out on to the main road leaving the party last night.
