Friends have been and gone. We had fun, played mousetrap, went up the road for lunch and for my godson to spend his pocket money and I got some nice christmas card holders. Little boy is not 100% well and was getting tired so they headed off about half an hour ago. it actually suited me ok as I'm pretty tired and was ready to
    put my feet up.

My friend was made up with the box of rocky road and fudge, and the chilli jam (which is more like chilli sauce :rotfl:). Also got the present i needed which friend will wrap up for her other son for me.

Plan now is to send some Christmas emails, I've given up on the idea of cards now! Wonder how my list looks *wanders off*

I really need to nip back out to Sainsbury's but I think it will have to wait until tomorrow, don't think i can face another icy trip! We need a couple of bits to go with dinner tonight but hopefully dh can pick them up on the way home.

Thanks greenbee you just reminded me I need a new bleeder thingamy, my bedroom pipes are clanging through the night.

Mine are clanging too...and not for the right reasons ;) does that mean they need bleeding? I've got a key thing somewhere, come to think of it i've not bled them since we moved here almost 2 years ago.

pigpen - don't worry about the card, I am sure she didn't mean to hurt you, and even if she did she'll have to get used to the idea. I'm sure as toots said you're feeling vulnerable at the moment.

So now onto some Christmas emails (I'm thinking some cutting and pasting will be in order!) and and then to wrap DH's prezzies. He wrapped 90% of the rest of the prezzies yesterday.

The other job I need to do is what I've been putting off for months: re-waxing the coffee table. I may just do it now!

I posted this morning but forgot to put what I've actually done!

I cleaned the kitchen properly (like on the usual lists) then damp wiped the living room and computer desk and vacuumed right through downstairs, and did the stairs.

I've given in and put the heating on for half an hour, I'll put it back on timer in a minute but I needed to take the chill off.

    make fudge
    make spice vodka
sort last few presents and stockings

Tomorrow night I've got a friend coming over, then I need to get myself packed!

And it's snowing... big fat white flakes...

[B]soappie I hope you an get your heating sorted out soon.

rose I am pleased you have managed to get some financial help. You have reminded me to phone the job centre to see if we can get anything for DH. I get IB and DLA but he hasn't claimed anything whilst ill.

pigpenPlease don't be upset by OH's card. I think card writing can be quite complicated sometimes. Maybe OH's mum just didn't think and wrote the card she would have written before. I have made two mistakes which have upset people.
I wrote a card to by BIL and his GF and her children last year and he was upset because she wasn't there for C'mas. He hasn't been in contact since. I can't undo what I did.

And I wrote a card to my best friend from uni to her and her DH who passed away years ago. I don't know how or why I did it.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
