Hardly  Our tree and decorations went up on Wednesday 23rd Dec and will come down on 12th Night, as is traditional. We then have a festively decorated house over all the Christmas holiday period, when friends and family visit. I really don;t get why poeple want them down so soon :confused:but then I didn;t get why people wanted them up when November was hardly out :p

I'm with you on this. Our decorations go up a few days before Christmas - usually once I've finished work and have had time to clean the living room. I love to get up in the morning and have a cuppa with just the lights on the tree. I usually take everything down just before going back to work, though (probably on Sunday 3rd this time). If 12th Night falls on a weekday, I don't have the time to do this after work, and I don't want to leave them up to long.

Anyways, the OH decided to propose on Christmas day which was very sweet. So now trying to organise a very MSE wedding. :j

You cannot burn to disc from iplayer downloads.. it would have to be a very naughty download which I shall not condone.. :p

    Hi

Hope you have all had a great Christmas. I've only read back as far as p.66 of the thread - but I'll do a bit more catching up later.

We' ve not had the best Christmas ever, but it's been ok. DS2 is still suffering from toothache on and off (he woke up crying with it at 4.30 last night) and he's got to go for an x-ray on Wednesday.

DS1 stayed at MIL's on Christmas eve and it was strange not to have him here first thing on Christmas morning. It was just me and DS2 opening presents, as DH doesn't get up until later. After that we all went to MIL's to meet up with BIL and his family. DH went to the pub just after 12 and I took the kids home a bit later to do our dinner, which turned out quite well. The rest of the day was spent napping, watching TV and playing with DS2.

Yesterday was DH's 50th birthday and he wanted to go shopping, but I really didn't feel up to this (got another cold and was shattered from day before), so we stayed in. The kids played, DH watched footie/napped and I caught up with the kitchen and did tea. DH and I went out last night, but I said something to upset him and he's now hardly talking. Nothing new there, then...

Need to get dressed and take DS2 to Asda - he's itching to spend some of his money on another Ben 10 figure and I want to check reduced Christmas stuff, especially things for cake decorating. I'm not going out tonight and don't want to spend a huge amount of time flying, so here's my plan for today:

    shopping, WM and DW
    visit friens
Deal with turkey and ham leftovers (fancy a pie amongst other things) and make stock
    catch up on thread
    make proper list for tomorrow
start planning for 2010: financial and 101 in 1001 list (I want to join the grocery challenge in January and work towards a debt free plan, so may ask for help at some point. I really don't want to get properly involved in many other threads, because I spend to much time reading and posting already.)

Hope you all enjoy your Sunday.
    Love from MrsC
