Oh, and Edinburghlass, if you do have a sneaky look - have a lovely birthday :bdaycake:
I'll send my daughter in tomorrow, she is chief cook and bottle washerskintscotslass wrote: »Sainsbury at Straiton. Tesco in Penicuik was carnage and the car park at Lidl was a disgrace. No chance of me going anywhere near the Fort or the Gyle
The Gyle was no problem yesterday around 3.30, Morrisons reduced their turkeys to £5 and my friend got a huge organic one down from £39 odd to £5 oh and a 3kg bag of fresh pasta 9p from the deli counter (now bagged into portions and in the freezer) and we got fresh chicken in Tesco and steaks for £1 each
Merry Christmas everyone and thank you for the birthday messages. :T0 -
Happy Christmas Everyone, hope your day is going ok, .
Did lunch for (I was told) 5, however the gate opened about 1/2 hour boefore eating time, and in walked another 12 of the 'extended family' as they wanted to have roast potatoes! major panic set in, sent one of the lads off on a moped to a supermarket to get more cold meat,:D luckly I had done several roasties, so everyone had at least one and cold meats or chicken, and thank goodness for rice cookers over here as that was used to ensure there was enough to go round, with cooking extra carrots and cauli, lack of chairs / plates/ cultery etc so people had to sit on the floor and 'camp out', use bowls and spoons.:rotfl:
But everone got something to eat and they all went away happy,:T:T GS(6) his father bought him a darth vader light sabra noisy thing! somehow the batteries managed to fall out:o after about 1 hour, I cannot imagine how that happened!!
Take care all, hugs xxxx

Dinner demolished and very nice it was too, loads left over so I know what we're eating next week:rotfl:.
I haven't had a melt down, even though I had to do it all myself but luckily all the prep helped immensely.
Going to settle down and watch Dr Who in a mo.
Hope everyone else's day has gone well. xDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Evening everyone, we were woke at 6.50 by
My sister and brother in law.....:rotfl:There worse than the children, we didn't even think they would be up as the roads are so bad. They had to leave the car at the bottom of the lane because there was no way they could get it up. FIL put the tractor in the hedge yesterday because it started to go board side down the lane.
Kids are over the moon with what santa brought, DS1 is bumblebee from transformers and DS2 is a storm trooper (the batteries will go missing tonight if they don't calm down). DD's bike is a nightmare the multy tool thing didn't fit and then they woke while we were sorting it, thankfully they didn't see anything.
It's been a lovely day here and it even snowed for awhile. Now i'm gonna try and get everyone ready for bed.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0
