I think you're being a bit harsh on how Boots treat their regulars. All year long there are countless great offers, glitches, points opportunities to regulars and lets not forget how massive a company they are. Very few people nowadays are brand loyal. And don't forget the terrible year some families have had with the economic situation. People are ALWAYS going to take advantage, no point getting narked about it.
I'm not getting narked about it just pointing out a reason why it might be a good idea to stop the traders and ebayers taking entire shelf loads of sale items and being agressive to other customers in the process. I have no problem whatsoever with families buying for themselves. A question was asked why should normal customers have more rights to sale stuff than traders and I responded to that.0 -
Next year all the buggy mummies should organize a Boots sale creche in their local area, with payment to the ones who stay behind with the little ones being made in Boots goodies. Come on ladies! Use your imaginations!Come ride with me, through the veins of history...
I'll show you how God falls asleep on the job.

"If most parents are anything like me they DREAM of going shopping child free..... (being able to go into a changing room without having a toddler opening the curtain every 2 secs while you have your trousers off and not having the curtain draped around a buggy is something I dream of anyway) but alas its just hardly ever possible!
I avoid the shops as much as possible when I have to take the 2 terrors out but things like the Boots sale just cant be missed!"
your lil ones sound just like my 2, its funny how your trying to get changed but right at the point when your tops off and you got only your bra for coverage ds goes and pulls the curtains wide open and starts shouting loudly as to attract attention "see see my mummys got no clothes on" just wanna die in embarrasement!!!!
l too hardly go shopping with my 2 lil ones, its only when hubbys at home l tend to go out. I even do my food shopping in the evening when he gets back so that to avoid all the stress!!! its not a nice feeling even though l love them dearly:T LLB HONS :T

I never asked people with pushchairs to stay indoors did I? I just hate being rammed with a pushchair, if people are pushing infront why not say something instead of ramming them? My mum never had a problem just baffles me, s'all.0

You have it lucky, I gave up on changing rooms when my 2 year old pulled the curtains back in Primark on a Saturday and said "Look its Mummys boobies"
I now buy and take it back and exchange if it is the wrong size or I don't like it. OH says he is helping me in my Money Saving by refusing to look after them so I can go shoppingturn £100 into £10000 in 2010 member #16 £567.68/£10,000 -I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!0 -

The prices are alright the Boots No7 vanity case was £60 in the Uk and here it was 76 euros when it should have been 66 according to my calculations. So not as it should be but a lot better than it used to be. A lot go to The North for normal grocery shopping now. It is really overpriced here. Monsoon is one of the worst for their currency converters, its cheaper to order of the British website and pay the p&p.
I dont get to the North for shopping at all, have 2 small kids so like a lot of the others on this website just glad to get to the shops without kids and a double buggy.
Am going to try Boots next wednesday as their reductions are always on a wednesday, so its worth popping in on the offchance to see if it 90% next week.0 -
To all you buggy ladies I took my oh with me to look after my baskets and he helped a couple of ladies with extra bags. However there was a lady with a buggy struggling in the melee and really wanted to offer his help. He would have been happy to hold the buggy while they shopped ( he loves kids and is really good with them) but of course in this day and age people would think he had a motive so I did not offer. However next year any ladies going to Broadmead or Cribbs please let me know beforehand and he can be the buggy holder.
This is a fab idea - we always had someone to stand outside with the buggies on the first day of the Next sale (usually a man)
This doesn't happen so much nowdays - people seem more prepared to put up taking a buggy in to the hell that is the first day of the Next sale!0 -
If anyone lives near Newbury, there's quite a bit left in the store in the town centre. Loads of No7 for men, Ruby & Millie, Good Works, Camra tasting packs, Botanics, 17, the Sanctuary gift pack containing the shimmering body lotion, photo frames, Xmas cards, FCUK for men, Boots Natural Collection etc..0
