  • Got some of the ehat were £10 belgian chocolate boxes, best date I could find was June 2010 which will come in handy for a couple of birthdays in the first half of the year. Still lots of £6 Natural Collection and the rose/lavendar old fashioned looking but very pretty bath sets, mens FCUK stuff left in Longton, Stoke on Trent.
Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!
  • Popped into the Bracknell branch earlier and they had lots of FCUK purse sets, chocolates, mugs with hot chocolate/marshmallows, rose or lavendar cosmetic bags with body polisher/shower gel, few star was bits and pieces and lots and lots of lavender gift sets.
It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.

There was just a tiny bit of fcuk stuff, didn't see a purse set. Broad Street was down to very little.

    Thanks Skibster !
I did venture out lunchtime and to my delight they did have the FCUK purse sets in the Broad Street branch. Very pleased as I only managed to get 1 of those yesterday, and wanted a few more for birthday presents later in the year. Thanks for your help again.

  • hiya just thought id post i was after a no 17 vanity case online yesterday but like everyone else couldnt get my order through even tho i was up at five.... when i came back yesterday they were all out of stock but today i went onto my wish list and it was back in stock on there at full price ....i did a search of the site for it but cudnt find it anywhere.....i rang cs and asked and she said only a certain amount of stock is allocated to the sale which i thought sounded a bit dodgy as i know you can get them instore reduced she then spoke to her supervisor who said the item is no longer on the system and the order will not go through so while she was on the phone i went through checkout....when i got to paypal she said carry on as it will not go through will just come up as out of stock but to her surprise my order came through and i had an order number she cudnt understand it and said if my order comes through and i pick it up to give them a ring and they will refund the £22.50 difference so bit of a result just fingers crossed it comes now lol
  • I'm not getting narked about it just pointing out a reason why it might be a good idea to stop the traders and ebayers taking entire shelf loads of sale items and being agressive to other customers in the process. I have no problem whatsoever with families buying for themselves. A question was asked why should normal customers have more rights to sale stuff than traders and I responded to that.
How do you propose to police this then? Where do you draw the line as to who can have what amount of things?
I am not about to justify to anyone why I want to buy what I want to buy. I came out with more carrier bags yesterday than I could carry in one trip.

If I want to fill my cupboards with the stuff and spend the next 5 years working through it myself or give it away as this year's birthday/ Christmas presents then I shall.

If indeed I were a hoarder and had an obsession with lovely packaging and wanted to stack them up in my spare room to go and look at when I felt depressed then I shall.

If I decide I've bought too much and put some on Ebay then I shall.

If I wanted to make a quick buck and flog it all on Ebay then I shall.

This is a free society and many have lost their lives in the fight for our freedom.

You have no right to wish to restrict someone's purchases because you feel that their uses for the items they are buying are not to your standards or liking...

In each of the scenarios above would I have 'more than my fair share' ? Am I depriving another shopper of the chance to buy it?
If I stared at them all sitting in my spare room and they never got used, would that be not fair to the people who didn't get a look in to buy them?
If you want something that everyone else wants you have to take your chances in the 'fight' for it with everyone else.

No, you're not :D Personally I think the range is incredibly twee, and the products I've sampled I've not been overly impressed with. I also hate stuff like Cath Kidston (her designs, not her, I'm sure she's a lovely lady :)) I'm quite stubborn, and tend to back away from really popular hyped stuff - you know, the things people get obsessive about, or everyone buys, or goes to see etc.

Now I am probably going to find myself banned for being rude about the sainted S&G collection :D

No you are not alone I dont like the smell of S&G but my 3 daughters in law love it. I prefer sanctuary
