'Im so annoyed!!!! I phones Merry Hill boots on Tuesday to ask what time they would be opening on the Wednesday and they told me 9am. When i got there after work and therewas nothing there they told me thay had opened at 8am. I could have gone before work if they had told me the truth and as it is i didnt get anything from the 75% sale because everyone beat me to it!!!!!! '
Why phone...............opening times on BOOTS sits.0 -
No, you're not. Havent done it this year but wouldnt think twice about doing it. Ive even had stuff at full price that I have returned if it was in the sale.
I guess if the price is reduced within the return's window (14 days or whatever it is) there is nothing to stop you doing this0 -
o ordered something in the 50% sale online, can i return it to any store? i just want a refund0

I had a buggy yesterday and upon opening the doors, everyone in the queue behind me saw it as an excuse to push past me, and the women who had opened their binbags to empty the shelves in the doorway didn't care that despite waiting outside for nearly half an hour, they wouldn't even move to let me in the f***ing door, let along let me or the dozen pushing past me have a look, or pick up anything. So yes, I got wholey frustated and after the 20th person rammed into the side of the buggy to get past, road rage got the better of me and I just pushed it through the door running over everyones feet.
I have never done this before, but some people take the p***, yes some use it as a battering ram, but it is a handycap when sales and even normal christmas shopping comes around, I always miss out because nobody will move an inch to let me past, there is only so long you cn stand there being shoved and pushed and tutted at because noone else behind you can get down the aisle either. It took me hlf an hour to get down two aisles to the tills, not looking or grabbing anything, I think everyone to do with being a bit more considerate!

Well said, MummyandPaige. I went to the sale yesterday with baby and buggy, and whilst I didn't have as horrific a time as you did by the sounds of it, people do seem to be very impatient when they see the buggy.
We shoudn't have to feel housebound or miss out on sales and things just because we have young children!
Rant over from me too! We're all pawns in the game of life!!0 -
hmm, mee too, as hubby said last night, after you have paid for petrol/bus fare, maybe even car park charges, i'm sure that it's not really worth it, I've still got a sealed hat box and reciept and I really can't be arsed to faff around, I would only get about £2 back after petrol and car park!
I'm just grateful to get one!!!
Yes I guess you'd only be due a refund of 7.50 (if you had paid 20) and as you say take expenses out and it's not really worth it.
Would have to be a larger return for me to attempt that (not that I have one to return anyway!)
Got one for my sis but I must be the only person on here that isn't keen on S&G!! lol!0 -
Lots of Chili Peppers bags in Reading at the Oracle, and a big stack of purple bags (didn't look too closely, think it was extracts or Botanics or something?).
Thanks for the update on the Oracle stock, do you know if they had any of the FCUK purse sets left ? And is there anything left in Broad Street (they didn't have much before 75% sale !). I'm debating whether to go into town or not ..................... but could be tempted if the FCUK purse sets are at the Oracle branch. TIA.0 -
I popped into Worcester yesterday around 5.30 so didn't expect a lot left. However, I managed to get an FCUK purse/spray/lip gloss set for my nieces birthday next month, a really nice purple photo album for my sister's birthday in March, a tin of Star Trek playing cards for my best mate's boyfriends birthday, and a High School Musical mug and chocs for my friend who's directing the panto I'm doing (he loves the Effron!!) for £9.75, when it would have all come to £39 normally.
There were TONS of chocs and mini bucks fizz and truffle sets. As well as lots of pink mugs with marshmallows, star trek mugs, a few photo frames and albums. AND (although I was tempted) and big Elle bag. Just the bag though, no bits inside. It had a code on it but no price, so I guess you had to ask if you just wanted the bag. Sorely tempted to buy as a handbag, but the handles were a bit small. I like something I can swing over my shoulder, to have two hands for shopping :rotfl:Do good deeds and you could raise the curtain, do good deeds and you could really raise your life....0 -

rant over, sorry if I offend
:rotfl:I've done that before (not in the sales) but got frustrated and claustrophobic - think I probably damaged quite a few people but I was trying to politely get through to get out and nobody took any notice - just had to get out of the busy shop with my crying bored son
I was lucky really as had someone to leave my 2 with for shopping trips
They still aren't that keen on shopping now unless we go to toy shops!0
