I went to Oxford Street branch at 9:30 am. Got a few toys and some beauty sets too. There was not many people but I was expecting more stock... Not complaining anyway, got a few nice toys for my baby...

  • I went to the Metrocentre at 1pm and it was liek a rugby scrum- people were crowding around the store room door and grabbing from trollies as the staff were trying to wheel them out so nothing left to put on the shop floor! While I was queueing for ages, saw the gold sanctuary bags, no 7 sets, gok wan and chilli pepper bags (that was all I really wanted that bag and didn't get one) getting grabbed. I got lots of stocking fillers, sadly were no toys left. I saw one middle aged woman take something from the basket of someone who walked past her, and put it in her own basket without being noticed-shocking! They still had quite a lot left in teh Metrocentre, hardly anything left in Team Valley branch, and tomorrow I am off to Newcastle so will see what is left there if anything!
  • Was that you with about 10 boxes of crackers in the silver boxes? *waves* I was the women with the basket on the floor surrounded by No7 trying to figure out whether I was in budget or not lol

Yes, that was me *waves back* - I had to leave half of them at work tonight as I couldn't carry them on the bus. Hope you kept to your budget :)

  • Went to piccadilly circus boots after having a sleepless night trying to shop online. Fantastic I got soap and glory spa pamper sets, sanctuary sets, ruby and millie, no 7, brag books, belgium chocolates and biscuits. I spent 45 pounds was able to make a saving of 130pounds. Got 3 snowies (was to ashamed to break my shopping down any further. Used my double points vouchers and 150 points voucher when you spend over 20pounds. When I got home I found a 250 voucher for no 7 in the no 7 indulgent bath set. So in boots terms I spent only 25pounds if you take into account the points and vouchers I received.

All in all I am very pleased with my decision to leave the stress of online shopping when I had richer pickings in store. Next year I won't bother to go online unless there is soap and glory available, getting up early and going to the store is the best bet.

I have just come back from having collected my hatbox. I asked the nice SA, who regularly serves me, what would happen if I decided I did not want it. She said I would get a refund and it would go on the shelf. I asked if I could do that, and she said of course. So, one hatbox for £12.50. If you don't ask the question, you don't find out the answer!

so did you just buy it straight back at 12.50?

I tried that technique and the SA was very rude and said how dare I even ask such a thing when it's already over 50% off!
