Boots after-Christmas sales - 75% off now over?

Bromley was gutted :cool: I did manage to get 2 nice lavender sets though for my MIL birthday for the princely sum of £4 as opposed to £16 To make up for my disappointment I spent £6 in The Works on some lovely books and flashcards for my little boy.

Oh my god,I have never seen anything like the scene I saw in Boots in Lincoln this morning. one lady was on her 3rd trip with 18 bags per trip and she openly admitted she was going to sell it all on.people were snatching things off the shelves without even looking what they had grabbed.everyone loves a bargain me included but that was an awful experience,I got the 2 items I wanted but I was very tempted to leave it and not bother.

Hi what boots was this, i was up at boucher this morning at 9:30 and got a few xmas pressies 4 xmas, although when i was leaving the shelfs were going bare. Headed in2 town about 11am and boots in donegal place was empty about frm the mini mens and womans perfume sets which were standin b4 u come to the elavater (sorry about my spelling). Got 6 sets of the perfume and there was still lots left, the SA were still puting out more and they told me people avent noiticed them cause they werent with the sale items.

Yeah I have come to accept it, but its just a bit annoying thats all.....especially when I heard them moaning...OK heres the story....

The staff that were walking past us into the store were saying the store didnt open til 9:30, but a fella opened the doors and let us in at 9....when I was walking round I overheard 2 groups of women moaning how it was out of order 'he' opened at 9 cos it meant (quote) "they expect us to shop at the same time of the customers??!?!?!!!"......enough said....:rolleyes:

I get where your coming from that wasnt a nice comment. You would be the same yourself if you worked there re getting some bargains before the punters so to speak. We all have to have perks of the job its what keeps us all going

Didn't get ANYTHING today, pile of rubbish left at my local.
I don't usually begrudge SAs getting bargains at all (have done the same at my own job!) but was asking an SA today if they happened to have any of the sanctuary hat boxes left who proudly (and smugly) told me she'd cleared the shelf of them and had 7 bin bags of bargains waiting for her to buy upstairs. :mad:
I was just thinking 'Rub it in why don't you missus?!!'. grr! Was hinting heavily at her letting me have just one of them but she chose to ignore my hints! lol. I know that sounds mean of me to gripe, im just disappointed that i didn't manage to get anything!

to be honest if I was able to do it I would have got there early and done it.....if I 'had to shop alongside the customers' then I wouldnt moan about it lol.....especially as the store was apparently meant to open @ 9 regardless.....but hey I have some lovely stuff and intend to enjoy a long hot bubble bath tonight with my new purchases (all £130 of them :eek:) but I was bargain hunting on behalf of myself, 2 friends and my brother.....so got some money to be returned to me :T and I get to keep the points as petrol suppliment :j

hope you all enjoyed bootsing we did! got a gok set each tenner instead of £40 each lol! to cheer me up as having op tomorow.

also lovely lavender set £2.50 with 6 products
all sorts of sets chocs etc

also used a coupon from machine spend £35 get 250 points and buy jelly products 250 points and 200 points on vits!! good haul.
