I went to Birkenhead this afternoon and was really disapointed. We were at Chester for 8.30 and bagged loads of bargains! Not sure what it will be like tomorrow0 -
The worse bit about the experiance were the mentalists with the little 'basket trolly' things. one guy had 3 of them, so 6 baskets in total. :eek:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I was in there between 12 & 1pm today - I would say that about 70% of the shelves were pretty empty as I was leaving. Managed to pick up a few bits and spent £28. As I left they had just put out about 15 more GOK sets, some chilli pepper bags but they were flying off the shelves. They had quite a lot of ted baker sets and organics sets left for £3 and under and also quite a lot of mens FCUK stuff for £3 - 4. They had LOADS of chocate slabs, boxes of chocs & hot chocoloate cups for £2 as well as quite a few royal jelly, lavender and "fresh" stuff. The 75% clothes were pretty much gone and there were no toys. They had a couple of 75% off photo frames and albums. No sign of sanctuary, no 7 or S&G which was hardly suprising! The SA told me that all the stock they had was out on the shop floor.0 -

I managed to get afew bits n peices though. Spent £18 and it said on the reciept I saved £54.... so rather chuffed!!!!!
Which one did you go to?
There was loads of stuff this morning at Eagles Meadow and the queue wasn't too big and still some stuff left at 1 pm.
The staff didn't seem to bother with much and there was plenty for everyone but they didn't have as much selection as they did last year, ie Sanctuary sets etc.We seek a world in which everyone with HIV/AIDS can live an abundant lifeWant to join us?0 -
This is for anyone who ordered an S&G hatbox for store delivery and has not yet picked it up.
I have just come back from having collected my hatbox. I asked the nice SA, who regularly serves me, what would happen if I decided I did not want it. She said I would get a refund and it would go on the shelf. I asked if I could do that, and she said of course. So, one hatbox for £12.50. If you don't ask the question, you don't find out the answer!
so did you just buy it straight back at 12.50?0 -

staff in the store i went to started @ 7am so they could serve staff first so i know they got first choice, so they should, perk of the job n all
I spoke to my SA friend and she told me they were allow to buy before starting work ( fair enough) but are not allowed to sell for profit or they will be sacked.
I know you weren't criticising. I went ot the Jimmy Choo at H&M sale and the staff there were not allowed to buy anything. Hope you got some bargains.0 -
Just to say that I popped to Crawley today and gots lots of brill bargains - thought it was gonna be crazy cos I didn't get there til lunchtime but it was okay - they had loads of stuff and basically kept restocking the shelves all afternoon - I kept popping back and on my last visit at about 4:45pm they still had quite a few Gok Wan sets, and FCUK mens sets and the Chillip Pepper sets (in the lovely bronze metallic butterfly bags!) and I love it £8.75 instead of £35!! Oh and also some gorgeous diamante photo frames reduced to £3.00!!
Spent a total of £136.85 for goods totalling £473.87!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so a saving of £337!!!!! woop wooop!!!0 -
I was at Meadowhall at 9.15 hoping for a no7 set so you werent alone in being disappointed!Surely the staff are allowed some perks of the job
The staff that were walking past us into the store were saying the store didnt open til 9:30, but a fella opened the doors and let us in at 9....when I was walking round I overheard 2 groups of women moaning how it was out of order 'he' opened at 9 cos it meant (quote) "they expect us to shop at the same time of the customers??!?!?!!!"......enough said....:rolleyes:0 -
I couldn't get to a store till 5pm but still managed to get some nice things - ruby + millie purse mirrors, no7 purse mirrors, gok sets, mum survival kit, bratz makeup set for my niece, hot choc cup + chocs set. Nice little gifts! Has anyone got the boots 17 £7.50 vanity case? Had some left reduced from £30 + wondered if its a good buy? Well done every1!0

Didn't matter though as everyone was polite and friendly and I got everything I wanted. The main thing I was after was the crackers! I'm getting married in December this year and wanted 70 of them for table decorations. Only got a few No7 items as well as this, people who saw my bags must have thought I was a little bit....crackers!:cheesy:
Does anyone know what the stock was like at the retail parks?
Was that you with about 10 boxes of crackers in the silver boxes? *waves* I was the women with the basket on the floor surrounded by No7 trying to figure out whether I was in budget or not lol*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150
