  • Bitsy he still loves MJ:rolleyes:
The toilet thing has been going for years...he has always hated black toilet seats() and it grew from that. He has to know everything about peoples toilets and is always talking about toilets and door handles.
The fact that i am marrying a plumber makes it funnier:rotfl:the first thing he asks OH when he comes from work is " seen any toilets today".
Bargainbird I think a thread on here with pictures of everyones toilets would be his dream come true:rotfl:

Still heavy snow here which means OH will not get out to work tomorrow which means no money....he already has no work for a week and a half over Xmas which we have planned for but didnt plan for this....he is on call Xmas day and boxing day so maybe someones boiler will conk out:rotfl:
I will have to get to work by walking for an hour in snow as NHS would have heart attack if I used snow as an excuse for not working:cool::rolleyes:
Mind you most of patients wont bother coming on a big snow filled journey to my clinic to have camera up the bottom so will prob have a quiet day:D

NPM I have to agree with your DS as I don't like black toilet seats either or wooden ones. I don't know why but I like white, cream or to match the toilet if it's coloured :o:o

BargainBird Hope your DH has recovered from his antics  now.

Well a good day has been had here with everyone building a snowman (complete with willy courtesy of DS1 & DS3 ;)) and watching some Christmas films. I have almost finished the cross stitch and my scarf has had it's 2nd ball joined on. Tea was enjoyed by everyone after being out in the snow and 24 Yorkies got eaten between the boys :rotfl:More of the white stuff to come tonight according to the news but luckily we can get everywhere on foot. It's DS2's college interview at 10am so he's been printing out his personal statement on parchment paper (supplied by school) in readiness :T

Have a good evening everyone & snuggle up warm!
  • Sunnygirl wooden toilet seats are ok with DS. He cant do black ones or grey(silver) ones which he calls "public" ones.;)

Sistercas if I remember rightly you are not far from me. Been snowing here heavily for an hour or so too:rolleyes:
OH has had to drive to Outibridge to do boiler repair and I will be glad when he is back.
I used to live in the pyrenees and was up to my knees in snow all winter but somehow we were better prepared over there and it wasnt hyped up on the news all the time ;)

my friend had to abandon her car in oughtibridge this afternoon and walk home ( not too far thankfully) hope your OH got back ok

your right we are not very well prepared here , we live on a steep hill and as its a side road it never gets gritted ,its a nightmare to get up or down

We went to the lottie, it was so cold I had to strip the brussels off the plant there was no way I could get it out of the soil, they are thawing out in the garage now.

Went to Aldi for fruit and veg, managed to spend £20 somehow.......just the last minute things on Wednesday.

Managed to finish the hat and mittens I was hoping to get done, have also started a bag which I hope to finish tomorrow. Tonight is Cranford night, so watching the TV and eating chocolate, the diet is on hold until after Christmas when I will have to take off all the weight I have put on eating chocolate!!!

Can someone refresh my memory how to put piccies on here, it seems to have slipped my memory somehow!!!

    Hi janeybaby,

My fridge is bursting at the seams and I haven't done the main Christmas shop yet! :o I'm glad you managed to clear yours. :D

I'll add this thread to the daily thread where people chat about what Old style things they've been up to during the day.
