Been a busy couple of days in Ivy Mansions. We were 17 for lunch yesterday based around the Morris Dancers Christmas dance out. Both kids took part. Lots of cake left, so put that in boxes in the cellar for the next few days.

We did some stuff at home...well, we sat around with the kids and watched Hairy Bikers and Jamie Oliver! Then Strictly. Nice evening.

Today dd has gone off in my car in the snow with DS for another morris dance side's christmas meet. Not really a nice day, but they've got ££ for lunch and will have a music session in the pub afterwards with the [STRIKE]beardy people[/STRIKE] Folk Musicians :rotfl::beer:.

SOmeone coming to collect the old telly shortly. Then dh is taking me out for lunch as he will be back at tomorrow on my Big Day.

My stollen are nearly ready for the oven. A bit mix, so done one large, 8 mini loaf size and 10 in a muffin pan.

Also minced pork ready for some sausage meat, but not sure how this is going to work out.

    have a lovely day.

Hugs to Janiebaby and Pippa :kisses:

Pink, nice to see you on the daily. Haribo - send me love to her! :j:beer:

I had a lovely relaxing night last night watching finding nemo, and father christmas film with dudley moore in. Great stuff. Bed by 1130 which is early for me two nights in a row :) Woke at 3am to see snow outside everywhere :D Nice and undisturbed. :o

I have been up from 1130 and managed to clear under the stairs quite a bit! it was full of rubbish. Found a bag of spuds that had been in there months - they were trying to get out of the plastic bag:eek:

I have sprayed the oven with cleaner to be cleaned out later. A wash is on of that pile of sheets i never seem to catch up on. So no outstanding washing. Honestly, how one person goes through so much I will never know.

    Need to go to connswater
today to do food shopping. I have my list written and ready to go. Only i havent washed in a couple of days:rotfl: (hadnt noticed with the slouching about the house and cleaning and clearing ) , so i do whiff a bit:o (tmi lol). The joys of living alone, although i must stress im not normally such a minger.:DSo need to scrub my oxters, then get to connswater. Might spend some of my christmas money if i catch myself so in the mood. better get moving though it closes at 6 i think!

Have pressies to wrap and oranges to glitter up for my tree , so hope to get chill out time to do that tonight. Feeling terribly organised although I think it's a false sense of hope.

    On xmas eve i
shall make the mash potato and carrot and parsnip ready to reheat. i shall par roast the roasties , then top up on christmas day (never had time for the freezing experiment). Its good brother will be here to help :D Mum asked for pavalova on xmas day (after refusing letting me do it) or apple pie or crumble. My one pavlov was disaster and ive never made either of the other, so dont know what I will do.?

Wanted to make Nigellas chilli jam
bu t any recipes i found online said they had problems with the liquid content - and ive never made chutney before so didnt know whether to risk it or not?

Might get a bottle of vod and put skittles in for xmas day :D

I also need to clean my fridge
and maybe clear out the cupbard of JUNK in my kitchen. It's annoying my karma.

Well done xx I did mine yesterday............ and now it's full again! So is the freezer, the dishwasher (un-plumbed in yet) every cupboard in the kitchen, the sideboard and we've created a drinks cooler outside the backdoor. I'm not shopping now till 2010.
