You can tell Haribo that I'll expect my OS hamper of goodies, complete with little gingham lids by Wednesday at the latest seeing as how she has nothing better to do :rotfl::rotfl:
Strictly was great last night, thoroughly enjoyed it and well done to Team Cola, well deserved winners, I loved all of their dances :j0 -
Morning all,
Slept in till 10.30, dd is still in bed, we were up till 1 this morning waiting of OH to come home, he does not drink but i was worried about him driving in the ice.
Bargainbird  at your DH, I would make him suffer today
Thanks again for all the good wishes re my dad, you are a lovely lot.
OH is going to make us a big breakfast in a while, and today we will put the tree up at last :T, later on after taking little dog for a walk we will watch a nice christmas film.
Need to get the beds changed and washed today, Lilibet I have never had a tumble drier, I get mine dried on the line, even on a cold day like today it dries it off a bit, and then bring it in and put it in the airer next to the rad.
Dinner tonight will be pork chops for oh and I with mash and veg, dd will have the mash and veg and a veggie option.
Hugs to Janiebaby, sad day for you x
Pink nice to see you posting, say hello to Haribo from me x
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning everyone.
Had a bit more snow overnight, sadly it's not the sort you can make into a snowman (it's too powdery) so DS is a bit disappointed. DS was awake for 2.5 hours last night and in the end I sent H in to deal with him  Got back into bed and guess what.......DD woke and started mucking about  I swear these kids are a tag team - can't have a disrupted night with just one it has to be both! Got to bed around 6am and H gave me a lie in.
Not much OS today, washing, cleaning etc. Going to visit my mum and dad with the kids whilst H does the ironing :T It's so much easier for him to do it when the kids aren't here.
Diva - hope you are OK this morning and having a lie in x
Bargainbird - Norty OH tsk tsk.......hope he feels suitably shamefaced this morning
Pink - thanls for the update on Haribo - was wondering where she was.
Smoky - hope DS is feeling better soon x
Taplady - enjoy your meal out with your tap friends.
janiebaby - hugs to you on your dads birthday xxx
Hugs to those that need them. Have a good day all OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

If you have young children have a look at NORAD's Santa Tracking on Christmas Eve. We did it a few years ago & DS3 was enchanted & amazed being able to see where Father Christmas was up to!You don't need young childen, mine are all growed up and I still use noradIn fact, it's in my favourites :rotfl:
Yes, another NORAD user here, even though DDs are past the little children stageI was woken at 3.15am by LO screaming and managed to get a bin to him before he threw up.
Hope DS is feeling a bit better now, smoky.
Well, it's cold out today! There was a light dusting of snow when I got up, but it's very icy. Thankfully, I don't have to go anywhere, but DDs have gone to their young carer's group in a taxi. I hate them going out in this weather, I think I worry a fair bit due to being in a car accident myself, but I will be very pleased once they're home safe and sound.
This morning has seen some
and I'm out of energy now, so will stay here until DDs get back - about 2.30
Dinner today is chicken, rice and veg, followed by chocolate cake or apple struddle and custard
Hope everyone's ok and has a lovely day.
Glad haribo's ok. She has been missedThere is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
Hi all
just waiting for National Lampoons Christmas to start in the hope that DS will watch it as it is very slapstick and you don`t have to understand jokes to get the humour if you know what I mean;).....I told him we were watching it and he asked if there were any toilets in it:rolleyes::o
Poor OH has been called out to a boiler breakdown.....he isnt supposed to be working today but someone phoned and he cant leave them with no heating in this weather.....he has been snowed under with work this week all boiler breakdowns...still its all money;) I dont like him driving in this weather and it is snowing again:cool:
Rosy glad it isnt just me who cries at carols:o a group of the medics choir came round the wards singing carols last week and I had to dash off and get something urgently in the clinical room so I could be teary eyed in peace:o
Hope you all keep warm this afternoon...could be a white Xmas at this rate
MSD hope you are ok and just having a rest....we worry when you are not about0 -
Afternoon all,
lovely and sunny here today very cold though and we had some snow overnight about a couple of inches, back step was very icy so I put some salt on it as I almost broke my neck:eek: when I went out to empty the rubbish
Not much OS'ing here today WM on but not cooking Lunch as we are eating later with BIL/SIL going out to restaurant for our Christmas meal, we do it every year instead of buying presents (but I have made SIL a ruffle scarf and its under the tree):shhh:
DS1 and family are still snowed in, the girls are loving it out in the snow.
I have taken all their presents back upstairs until they can get up here ar we can get down to them, New Year probably as DS has some time off then.
Bargainbird - hope he is suitably appologetic after his performance last night,;)
Smoky - hope DS is better soon
taplady - enjoy your meal out
Mums just phoned my cousin has been rushed into hospital, she collapsed last night in terrific pain so her family called an ambulance and they took her in. I dont know any more than that yet.

OH has had to drive to Outibridge to do boiler repair and I will be glad when he is back.
I used to live in the pyrenees and was up to my knees in snow all winter but somehow we were better prepared over there and it wasnt hyped up on the news all the time ;)0 -
