Me too. Kids went out with Auntie and GPs this morning, staying the night with them. All I've done is dress them and cook breakfast, it's nearly 3pm and I'm still in my PJs and drinking hot chocolate while watching DH de-snow the cars...June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Hi all,
When the sun is out it's a lovely crisp (if very cold) day but as soon as it goes in again it's incredibly grey and dark out there. The cat is complaining as the house is cold so insists on sitting right next to me. That's when she isn't trying to sit on the laptop as it is the warmest thing in the house. The man is here servicing and sorting out our fire. He has been here over an hour but has taken the whole thing out and is even sorting out something in the chimney so that is good. We have used him for about the last 8 yrs for anything gas or plumbing in the house so we know he is thorough.Just had some tea and toast and am going to make sausage rolls shortly, I liked Delias easy way of making flakey pastry, I used to do it the old way but am all for the easy life. I always add onion to my sausage rolls too as it makes the sausage meat stretch a little further too.Hope you are all wrapped up warm! Enjoy the Strictly final tonight, it's going to be a good one!Diva.x

Sorry no. If anyone can turn my freaky looking Bitty Beans doll into something like an elf they are welcome to try :rotfl:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Sorry girls I am not clever at that stuff either but I do have a friend on another board who likes doing that kind of thing so when she is back online on Monday, if noone else has been able to help, I will see if she can do something.
I know she loves to play around with avatars and sparkles and things so I am sure she wouldn't mind.
If you wanted to be brave, there are people over on the Arms that can do things with avatars and if you post a message, someone will help - that is what I did a while ago!

Just back from DS`s xmas party....he spent most of it on my knee under his coat but he managed to stay the distance;). He is now relieved to be back at home safe and huddled under his duvet on the sofa watching Gigglebiz:rolleyes::o.
It is soooooooo cold. I feel a snuggly early night coming on
we may not get any lie ins in this house like thriftlady but we do make up for it with early nights
.Maybe do a trial run with the sexy lady elf costume I got for xmas eve;)
i am shattered now after being up at silly o clock but no chance of a rest yet.
At this rate we will be having a distinctly un OS tea of fish and chips instead of HM pizza.
Has anyone seen fairy Elephant recently......with Lowesy`s recent news it got me wondering
MSD Fatcat has a special heat pad for winter which you heat up in the microwaveshe is such a spoilt cat;)

Well I don't know quite what got into me, but I went upstairs to put some washing away & ended up blitzing our bedroom & made a good start on the 2nd one. Cooking a late lunch now, peppered steak baguette for hubby, soup for me, I was planning on doing Kiev & chips, but hubby didn't fancy that.
Hugs Hester

If all else fails at least we know how delicious the coke one is. Though have to say the cooking liquor is disgusting and we never use it for making anything else despite her saying it makes great soup!
MSD, Nigella's ham in ginger ale is nice too, and we use the coke liquor for making black bean soup0
