btw have you tried ASDA's own medium coffee? It's only £1.37, but it's really good! We've been trying lots of different coffees to see if we can drop a brand or two down from starbucks (because it's just too painful to pay the price), and so far, the cheapo ASDA one is the winner, I highly recommend it. Even my picky OH likes it0

But foodwise they all seem to be well "old fashioned" is the only way I can describe it.
When I first got this house my brother in laws brother took me shopping for my first big shop, later he said to my sister "I hope your sister never invites me round for dinner, she only seems to eat weird food" He had only taken me to Mr Ts, so not really sure what that was about. I think his eyes would pop out if he saw a delivery after I had shopped at the online Asian shop that >I love so much
so spinach is really easy to get hold of.
Ttha salad that I bought yesterday, a "contmpory mix red romain, baby spiach, tat soi, rocket, and mizuna, with a chilli mango dressing. Ha no wonder there was about 15 packs still sitting there, anything more than a iceburg lettuce would be classed as exotic in this town!
Heck even the mango juice, get walked past.
After being in the Bay Area for so long where Asian food is almost hard to escape, I find it the hardest to find here. Must admit though if I was to find a nice Avocado I would buy that at almost any price. And to think when I lived in San Jose for a while I had to bin a ton every year so that we did not get rats in the yard.
"online Asian shop"....did someone say "online Asian shop".....do tell....do tell. Would be interested to see a linkie for that please:D - as we have an Asian supermarket hereabouts - but it charges "English" prices...so I read very enviously of the cheaper prices one can pay in the usual Asian supermarkets..:cool:0 -
Im subscribing to this as I think this is fantastic! I so interested too in what you make. I often leave many whoopsy F&V as I don't know how to quickly slot into the meal plan. Meat and some dairy I can just chuck in the freezer and consider it at a later date!
Parnsips are my fave too, acurried parsnip soup is just my total fave :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
https://www.asiancookshop.co.uk is my favorate place to shop. It has free delivery for all orders over 25 pounds for mainland UK.
Quick delivery I have never had a problem. With anything that I have ever bought. I really do recommend this site.
It sell from all parts of Asia not just india, and the spice packs are really good value for money as usual.Ebay 13........1583.46/2000.00 Amazon sales 54/50 Etsy sales 63/50

OOW Linzpower. >Thats not allowed!
To be honest I have griped about the fact that meal planning goes out of the window, you really can't do both, unless you say to your self OK on say Friday I am going to have a Whoopsie night, that leaves you open to what ever you have been able to get. I have seen lots of meat, chicken, sausages, pies, and everything else you can think of since starting this. The only thing I have not been able to rely on is juice, apart from that I have seen everything that I have needed.Ebay 13........1583.46/2000.00 Amazon sales 54/50 Etsy sales 63/50

Welcome back! Did you have a nice weekend? How was Oliver?0

HI:hello:
What are you doing up at silly o' clock I thought that was just me!
Oliver was brilliant! A really good night and as usual Mr America was good company/funny.
We also went up to the base at Alcolnbury, and they had the biggest juiciest Avacado's that I have ever seen. So he bought me 2 hhhhhaaaa heaven I like that man.
He also bought me a new quilting book, this is the only place I ever see them in the UK.
So might get a "winter project" off the ground as well.
Edited to say, I don't like to mooch but it is really hard for Mr A NOT to spend money. He always turns up with little well thought out gifts for me. I have told him off he just never listens.Ebay 13........1583.46/2000.00 Amazon sales 54/50 Etsy sales 63/50

I have read news reports on the web last night about all the panic buying that is going on at the moment, have to say apart from bread I can't really say I have seen any of that here.
It also went on to say that because of the veg being frozen in the ground at the moment, price hicks in the later part of the winter may be unavoidable. Which means that a lot of people will be looking at the reduced stuff and I may have a bit of competition....
Someone kindly donated a sad looking cabbage my way yesterday, so I will fry that up with garlic and black pepper tonight and have it with some Roast potatoes.
Tomorrow I Really must use up the baby corn and snap peas that I have they have a date of 6/1 but they still look fine, not sure about freezing them though. Don't think the peas would SNAP if you know what I mean.Ebay 13........1583.46/2000.00 Amazon sales 54/50 Etsy sales 63/50
