Salad with a dressing.........10p/1.00 Will have this tonight, the dressing is a mango/chilli which might have put people off it, but it in a little sachet that doesn't have to be used.
Spinach..............................10p/1.00 We get through loads of this.
When I buy something (usually a whoopsie!) with a sachet of something that doesn't go I save the sachet as I eventually use it it with something else it goes with better. Wel done with your progress so far!!'Yaze whit yeh hive an ye'll niver wahnt'

First let me apologizes for my grumpiness yesterday. i was in a bad mood because ther had been no deliveries because of the snow, there was no food there in the first place for anyone to buy, no bread, milk, veg. So because I was in the shop anyway I wasted some money rather than walk out empty handed.
Thank you for your support auntymabel, we did in fact eat the salad with the dressing, it was very good. But yes in the past I have hung on to the dressing if it had not sounded that exciting or was a dairy based one.
Pink-Numbers, Yep I am being very good with my spreadsheet, I spend a little while with it every night rather than working myself up to it weekly, I am actually seeing just where some of the money is leaking off to, too much diet coke for a start I had no idea just how much we drank, and I cannot say hand on heart that it is just for the boys. The waste last night I was talking about was a pack of frozen roasted potatoes. Never really looked at the price of those before 1.99 is rather a lot considering I had a bag of potatos at home that needs looking at. I was just being lazy. I will be back later with exact figures. I was very pleased last night.Ebay 13........1583.46/2000.00 Amazon sales 54/50 Etsy sales 63/50

My entire spending this month so far has been
4.15, As I suspected we have not gone hungry had something different everyday. OK so I struggled a little with the parsnips but that is because of my tastes, nothing to do with them. I have had to freeze cabbage/pasnips/carrots/celery for use at a later date.
The cost of all that I have bought should have been 26.35, I have deducted a few things that I have bought with my sister in mind, also a packet of crumpets that are not f/v but I still eat one night with jam for supper.
I know this month has been mega easy, but if I could save say 10 pounds a month I would be happy as that can be another 10 that can be saved.Ebay 13........1583.46/2000.00 Amazon sales 54/50 Etsy sales 63/50

That is an amazing saving SanFran! I can't believe how much you are saving. I should really think about maybe popping into the local shops more often...0

Neither can I ! Good huh?
Still no deliveries in the shops today, so we just all had a "freezer surprise" meal, (you know the random boxes that have no label, and you have long forgot what it was) one of the boys had a pasta in tomato sauce thing, the other got stew, and I ended up with a chilli. So that has made a nice big dent in my freezer at least. I weather report is saying that we are going to get a lot more snow tomorrow night so I am glad that I have such a good stock cupboard at the moment especially as the kids are off school at the moment.Ebay 13........1583.46/2000.00 Amazon sales 54/50 Etsy sales 63/50

No :rotfl:
I think I have OCD though, so I realise this is not normal behaviour...
In fact, one of the few times I get really annoyed at OH (which isn't often because he's such a gem) if he puts anything in the freezer without labelling them first. :mad:0 -
well I know you said you had a lot but sheesh!
Does each color lid have a different thing inside?
Still no deliveries here but I went along to the other shops today as I was feeling braver about the ice, it very much worth the trek
Orange juice........................11/75 I bought 2
Hummus..............................22/1.49 they had a stack so i got 4
Caulifower..........................21/1.40
Spinach..............................23/1.50
Salad..................................15/1.00
Broccoli.............................15/1.00
Strawberries.....................30/2.00
So tonights dinner was a lentil soup out of the freezer, with hummus and spinach sandwiches, I know it sounds like a light dinner but we seemed happy, and if the boys are still hungry later they will find something,,,,,well no need for the IF it\s more of a when!Ebay 13........1583.46/2000.00 Amazon sales 54/50 Etsy sales 63/50

Hi SanFran
Ok, I am going to solely blame you for the fact that when I went to the supermarket today to top up on oranges (got mouth ulcers atm, need vitamins), I spent the whole time looking for woopsies!
Found it difficult to find them in different sections, and didn't managed to get any woopsy prepped vegs, but did managed to get ham and lunch tongue for half price from the deli counter, so that was our dinner sorted, and got enough for lunch today too
It's like a treasure hunt in the supermarket!
Thank you!0 -
Hi,
See ! It's catching, went to the shops today all I saw was a cauliflower for 89p, now I know this sounds mean, but I"M NOT PAYING THAT. Guess I have been spoilt.
But I did find some tomato pesto for 44p rather that a hefty 2.19. also some half price coffee, of course being me I had to buy 6 rather than just the one. Some nice half price Nan breads as well but that was just savings not whoopsies.Ebay 13........1583.46/2000.00 Amazon sales 54/50 Etsy sales 63/50
