    Afternoon all,

Well first day back at work is not too bad. Quite a few people in, but it's also quiet if that makes sense. Getting some filing sorted and getting time also to sort out my finances.

Debt still sitting at £1850 (actually higher as DD's not came off yet). Feel rich when I check my bank but need to remember DD's still to come off at the beginning of January.

Had a great Christmas, quite quiet and was great having the time off. Went into Glasgow on Monday, we had some vouchers from our engagement to spend (£200) so we decided that since we don't have our house yet and don't quite know what we'll need to keep half for the house and splash the rest on ourselves (ssh don't tell anyone). So OH bought a pair of Tommy Hilfiger jeans and I got a jacket (with a hood) from Warehouse. I do have jackets with hoods but needed a dressy one.

Also went shopping yesterday and bought absolutely zilcho! Seen a raincoat in Debs (I know, didn't really need it), but they only had a size 8 - spotted the coat on a mannequin (size 14 - I checked) but they wouldn't flipping sell me it cos it was on display!! !!!!!!!!! The girl was faffing about so I said to forget it and walked out. Was quite glad as although it was a lovely coat I didn't really need it. I do need to go through my wardrobe yet again and declutter my clothes. As my aim is also to lose some weight, I'm going to pack away anything which I still like but doesn't fit and if it still doesn't fit then out it goes.

Well hope everyone had a great Christmas, will be back on before NY, bye for now x

    Evening,

Well what I thought was going to be a NSD (I even put that on my spending diary), turned into £9.50 down. My sister text me to ask if I wanted to split a huge bag of chicken, got 9 huge chicken pieces that will last for ages, so it's a bargain.

Since coming home from work I have made dinner (chicken curry - well when I had all that chicken what else would I eat), watched the last episode of V (and wondering if there will be another series cos it finished weirdly) and have scoffed some chocolates. Not a good idea when my wisdom tooth is giving me bother again. I really wish people wouldn't give me chocs as instead of rationing them, I try and eat them all at once so I can start my diet. Must try harder.

Just about to go and bag up the chicken then get the livingroom tidied for the weekend. Had a problem with a frozen pipe at the weekend, luckily it didn't burst but it did make me clean the kitchen cupboard out, just the rest of the kitchen to do now. So much to do and so little time (or maybe I just can't be ar8ed), oh well guess no-one is going to do it for me. Best get on.

Isn't it annoying when you have almost got to the end of a NSD and a bargain or reqired spend comes in! Hope you got it all the housework done.

    Hey urg,

No I didn't get all the housework done, I sat on my a$$ as usual. I always have big plans to get the house ship-shape for New Year but it ain't gonna happen (as usual).

I do have a plan however to get the entire house decluttered and cleaned by either the end of Jan or Feb - I'm talking a very deep clean hence end of Feb. Then the house is going on the market. A house the same as mine has been on sale since July, so I'm anticipating mines will take a while to sell too. If it sells earlier I will just have to move back to mum's.

Having some porridge just now and possibly again for lunch, if only to have a proper NSD!

Wow - that's great. I too need to do a deep clean! HOpefully, there will be more purchasers out there in the New Year!

Oh - by the way I've started a new diary - you'll have to come over and say hello!

Have been on the internet for far too long already - need to get on with stuff. Will catch up later!

    Have subscribed to diary urg!

I really need to get the house on the market so I am Mrs Determined, before I become another Mrs later next year.

Just checked my bank and I've got £59 extra in there, dividends from shares at work, woo hoo, wasn't expecting them. I have already earmarked it to pay the straggly £50 off my debt, bringing my total down to £1800.

Ok, question, I currently have £700 in savings between my Christmas fund (£30), Car Fund - £270 (Road Tax due April) and £400 in my normal savings account - should I use this to reduce my debt further i.e. get it down to £1000? Or should I keep this going, as I really need the car fund which would only really leave the £400, which I reckon I will need for when the house goes on the market. Think the Home Report costs £400, eek!

I'd keep the savings - you have identified the pots that you will need. The £400 may well be helpful for the home report or other household emergency. It'll stop you resorting the cc.

    Good luck with the decluttering!

Think you are right urg, the savings will 'save' me from using my Visa for stuff at a later date, think I will keep a hold of them.

Well, on the penultimate eve of me beginning the new crazy clothes challenge for 2011, I have bought myself something - oops! Actually, it was a planned buy which I was going to make next year but I thought I'd get it bought so I can start afresh. Nothing exciting, just a new (smaller - yeah) pair of walking trousers. I was wearing my last ones (size 14) as over-trousers during the snowy weather and they seemed far too big, dunno, maybe I stretched them, ha. Anyway, bought a new pair (size 12, woo hoo) and they will be my new trews.

I had two pairs in my hand but the second pair were £54, eek eek! These ones were £35 but I had £20 left from Christmas so only cost me £15. Told OH my new budget for clothes and he thinks it's reasonable, he laughed when I tried to make £120 last this year, thinks I can manage this time.

Well so far tonight, have had dinner and cleaned the kitchen and livingroom, not the deep clean I hoped for but they both look lovely and tidy. I am knacked though and still have upstairs to do. Told OH I might need to come home first tomorrow before I head to his, if I leave work for his, I'll be there sitting doing nothing til he comes home so I'd rather get something down in my own house. Thinking a very quick tidy will have to do then whilst he is standby next Tuesday, I'll come home and get more housework done.

Well night all, going to do a quick half hour with some music on, so computer is going off.

Well we're not due to finish til 3pm today but I'm throwing in the towel and taking a half day, which means I'm finishing in 15 mins, yeah!

Didn't get myself organised enough last night but I did go to bed having down the kitchen, livingroom and bathroom. So it's off home to get the bedroom in some sort of order, pack my wee bag and head up to OH's. He's not home til at least 4pm so gives me loads of time to get sorted.

Final weigh-in of the year for me and I'm back up to 10st exactly. Started at 10st 1lb, put on 2lbs then lost 5lb and now put on another 2lbs, so technically only lost 1lb since August, ha!

My goal is 9st 7lbs, then 9st 3lbs, 9st at a push by November and the wedding, here's hoping. Finances are looking semi-ok, if I can make it til January's pay without using my Visa or OD then I'll be happy. The extra £50 I was going to pay to my debt, I will leave right til the end just incase I need to use it, no point paying extra to debt then adding to it now is there.

Well Happy Hogmanay to one and all, see you all in 2011........
