Feeling like not much to update these days, debt continuing to rise slightly but hoping to remedy that by putting in for the overtime I'm due (for payday in May) and have also mentioned the Pink tickets to the guy in work again today, my sister is still rubber-earing me though but she will be getting asked again too. £150 is sitting there gaining me interest!
Sister in Canada is coming for a surprise visit at the end of the month, I volunteered to pick her up from the airport but didn't realise it would be at 6am, eek! She will be going back whilst we're on holiday so someone else will have to cart her back to the airport. Have taken a few days off whilst she is here, but couldn't take much as will be off for two weeks for my holibags in June. Can't wait, work is annoying me right now but I guess it pays the bills.
Went to Tesco at lunch-time to get my top up cos if I top up instore I get £20 free credit, so makes sense. Seen loads of nice clothes at 25% off but resisted all temptation as feeling really bloated just now. Which also means the cossie I bought is going back to M&S as it doesn't offer much support 'up top'!!
Might wait until nearer the hols when hopefully I will have lost weight doing my exercise dvd/visiting of gym then buy one, as I still ain't wearing a bikini!
Well night all, starting to haver now x0 -
Not much else to report, getting boring in my old age! Feeling a bit yuk today, not sure if it's the cold or hayfever but a guy from work gave me some Lemsip Max and it seems to be working, so all is good!
Went to Tesco at lunch-time and had a wee look in the sale (didn't buy anything, how good am I), spotted a coat I'm sure I took back a few months ago which I bought from the website and could return in store. It cost me £70 and they have it 'on sale' for £75, ha what chancers they are eh!
Anyhoo suppose better get on with work, too much to do and so little time, in other words I am having a CBA moment!0 -
Morning all, feeling like I'm spending too much time on here and my work, especially (and housework) is really starting to suffer.
I'm really pleased that I'm over half way towards being debt free which is a huge acheivement for me, I've been perpetually in debt for the last 20 years and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel:j
My plan was to be debt free by December 2010 (which is still on track), I'm still saving to pay off my loan but as previously posted, this might not be worth my while as the bulk of the interest was added at the start but I will re-evaluate this next April (with a year of my loan to go) and see how much I have saved, should be (fingers crossed), around £4K. Loan should be around £1750 by then so I could potentially pay this off and still have over £2K in the bank.
I actually have been very naughty, and it's one of the reasons my debt has risen slightly recently, but myself, OH, my sister and her OH have booked a Caribbean cruise for next November:D:D
I was on a cruise a few years ago (and really didn't make the most of it) and vowed never to go on one again as the travelling from Glasgow to Heathrow to Miami was terrible. This cruise flys from Glasgow to Barbados and is for 2 weeks, costing not much more than the last one (which was only a week)! It is a terrific deal and ties in nicely with myself and OH possibly (haven't discussed when exactly), getting married:D:D
It will either be on the ship, or at the Registry office just before we go so the cruise will be our Weddingmoon or Honeymoon. P.S. we're not officially engaged yet, we're waiting til after Portugal
Wowser, what a long post, anyway my point is that I will be taking a break from MSE, maybe even for good, will try and pop in from time to time for a nosy at other diaries. Apologies if I'm not posting much, might even be hovering around the Wedding boards, ha. Thanks to all posters (where are you all), and especially the lurkers as someone is at least reading:D xx

Swinsters - sometimes a break is good.
I think the reason I stopped posting was cos I had nothing to really report as my debt was chipping away by DD payments rather than me doing anything miraculous to help bring it down sooner. I am not as motivated as some on here and they really do put me to complete shame.
Keep in touch esp with the wedding plans!!!!!!!
Will miss you but I am on the end of a PM if you ever wanna natter.** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

Hi all,
I'm back...... sort of! Been lurking and posting a few times in other threads but haven't had much to report and also had a bit of a topsy turvy few weeks which I'm glad to say all came to a head today!
Didn't want to come on here and get all over-dramatic, but I found a lump about a month ago, after visiting the docs I was sent for an ultrasound - fine I thought, had this done before (I get lumpiness as a matter of norm) but was a bit shocked when they said they were going to do a biopsy, eek! Of course I started panicking, snapping at everyone at work, fell out with OH (he was staying with me as he was off work with a pulled muscle - in his legs you filthy peeps) and generally feeling very down. I have recently got a new boss and his wife went through, fought and survived BC (I hate saying the words) so he was really understanding.
Anyway I went for an ultrasound guided biopsy but at the last minute the doctor decided it seemed more like a cyst so she aspirated it and sent it for analysis. Got the results today (2 worrying weeks later) and I got the all clear:j:j It is a 'simple cyst' and the fluid analysis confirmed it, so I have nothing to worry about. I didn't tell my mum at first but when I did she reminded me that she had one removed last year, so looks like it is hereditory (if they even can be). I am one happy bunny and looking forward to my holiday where I will be celebrating and relaxing, worry free!
The downside to all this is that I thought I'd start spending like it was going out of fashion so my CC has rocketted through the roof, it was all essentials though i.e. a new lawnmower, housey stuff, honest.......
Anyway hope everyone comes back and celebrates with me, as I'm sitting here having a little glass of vino on my ownsome
P.S. Will try and update a bit more often, still on track with all my plans, nudge, nudge, wink wink0 -
Phew.. had me worried there for a bit Swinstie. Glad everything turned out ok. Keep us updated on plans
*hugs* xxx

Thanks Laura, it was a huge relief and I'm looking forward to a worry free weekend now, still tired though as hadn't been sleeping much for thinking stupid thoughts!
Anyway roll on the weekend, got loads to do in the house, wrote a list of maintenance work to be done and poor OH thought he had to do it all this weekend. Daftie, it was actually stuff that needs doing over the Summer (so that would've been last weekend then, ha)! Got the house in order for my sister coming over on Sunday, she's not staying with me but as her flight arrives at 6am and my mum will be asleep then, she'll need to stay at mines til lunch-time. Just got the bedroom to do, feel like having another huge clear-out as the stuff I've accumulated since the last time is not even funny. I'm sure it's breeding up there.
Well have a nice weekend everyone x0
