So you got the Gala jobs! I've got the rest of the A7 and A68 jobs plus Kelso/Coldstream to do but couldnt get out of my street. It's looking ok now so I'm hoping to do them tomorrow and Tuesday. Whats the chances it snows again before tomorrow!

I agree with the RE fees. I've not done many for them as I dont think it's worth it. Have only done ones when Ive been in the area anyway and even then there's some that I wouldnt bother with again.

When I first started out ms-ing i grabbed as many RE jobs as i could but now im more experienced I dont do them much as I can do assignments for the twice the fee and half the work with other companies.
Re was showing 210 jobs for me last night but when i clicked on the available jobs it showed me 6 !!!

I think that's true of most of us. As you get more experience you get choosy about what suits.
I am very picky. Will do jobs if I am in the area and give me money off something I was going to buy anyway , a free lunch or help with posting ebay items. I also enjoy the paid for meals if its a decent place, although many of the pubs are dreadful!
Horses for courses really and although some reports are a little long and repetitive, over the years I have saved a mass of different answers on my pc that make it a lot easier. I still treat each visit as new and vary my responses accordingly but there really are only so many ways of saying things that you soon get speedy!

I am in AWE of all of you who have braved the weather. I am still stuck in my village and cannot get anywhere. Just for once I wish I had a 4 x4 or the nerve to borrow the tractor that's sitting in my field!

Feel quite sad that I have to cancel some regular audit work - first time ever!
  • While we're on the subject of RE, has anyones payment been rolled over? I had one that was listed as being due for payment today, but for some reason has now been put back to 25th. Wouldn't mind so much but I completed the job 11th December so that's 2 pay days it's missed now!

Hey Borders, yeah I got them I'm afraid. I got a call from them about Peebles, West Linton and Innerleithen as no-one had signed up to them (I'm in Penicuik), so I said I would do them as long as I got the Gala and other ones I'd applied for.

I wonder if this is going to be a monthly audit for them, or if it was just a one-off. A nice little earner and free brekkie for the next 3 weeks!

Me too! I was wishing I hadn't got rid of my Ford Mondeo a year ago when I was out and about yesterday in my little Citroen C2...... But then again, the tyres are thinner so dig in to the snow a bit better, and the engine's only a 1 litre, so no risk of over-revving the engine!

    ;)

Not another Bury shopper!! No wonder they're thin on the ground lately. ;)

Hey squidgey! Been wondering about you as hadn't seen you on here for a while!

Yep, I have been taking some of the Bury St E jobs lately with GR. I don't get offered any Ipswich jobs from them so thought they must be short of takers from the Bury area. I'm lucky that I live in between the two towns so I like to spread myself around!

Snowing here so I may cancel my Colchester shops. Have another Bury job to do too so might postpone that. What is the weather like in Bury?

Those of you that had the egg job dates extended to Tuesday..... was it possible to do the shops today or is it just Monday-Saturday?

    Thanks

    Hey JC,

When I was putting in all my results last night, I had to choose the day that the shop was done, and 7 out of the 8 that I did didn't allow Sunday as an option. So I would imagine probably not - possibly down to not getting deliveries on a Sunday so low stock availability perhaps? Just guessing.....

Might be worth phoning ESA if they're around today?

  • I'll be so pleased to see the back of those 'Companion Care' jobs on RE

Me too! It's also annoying that no matter what job type you click on they appear!:rotfl:
