  • aww, thank you V, I didn't mean I had to sell them in the next 9 mins (though reading back it totally sounded that way!) I just want to sell them soonish.

*goes off to find something called "shareholder reference"*

I am impressed how well Standard Life shares have held up during the recent financial meltdown.

  • After last week's stock market falls they are back up 24p = 10% on a surging stock market to 257p :), helped by the ginormous US taxpayer bailout of the US mortgage market.
Ended Friday on 246p ---- hopefully with latest news from USA They should be 290 - 320 next week ---- forever the optomist :D
  • I only sold half of my holding - well, actually, all of mine but none of my wife's. So an increase next week would be lovely jubbly.

  • Due to illness i've not realised i'm missing some dividends, so i rang them only to find out that they hadn't got the change of address...
They want to charge me £24 for a replacement cheque which is 1/3 of the money they owe! As i haven't had a list of charges etc from them can they charge so much? It seems a rather high amount.

    Thanks
  • Ask them to transfer the amount to your bank account, dont think you have to accept a cheque
