  • I dont trust those sell orders but if its free probably a good idea to set one at 300 and see what happens I guess. - Wish I'd had the foresight to take this conclusion from the share graph and notes I wrote yesterday

I dont think it'll be repeated because it was people hedging their bets against the chancellor nationalising banks, moving money across a sector into 'safe' stocks is a tactic fund managers use, I think anyway

Nothing else in sector jumped like this but banks will continue having bad news days till next year at least so who knows

How do shares close at £2.50 and open at £3.20 ??? anyway -- wht ever the answer --- these shares are still undervalued --- SL -- is solid
not into spending money it doesnt have ( as far as i know ) so £3.20 is still a low price. Im holding lots of shares long term but will sell some mid term to be able to move money to other shares that seem very low for their value at the moment :D Good luck everyone --- seems to me that the rich have got even richer on the news today ---- bought bank shares and then sold at a profit within 1 hr.. nice if you know wht ur doing - and have so much money it doesnt matter neway :D Dont you wish you were in that position :D Chris
  • 270 was a good price, true to form it closed today static in a falling market.
Im pretty sure people were using it to hedge other risks but I wonder how it will do if the markets recover guess it cant be bad

I want a stockbroker that can get me the deals when volume is ten times normal then prices like this are there, who do you deal with Chris

who let you buy and sell within an hour
  • who let you buy and sell within an hour
i didn't -- but i gather lots of people are making lots of money due to the current state of the market -- i use Halifax for share buying/selling which by far is not the best way - but i dont buy and sell very often.

I don't understand your question, I use TD Waterhouse and you can buy/sell online, I have never bought and sold within an hour but I cannot see why I couldn't.

By the way those SL shares are weird, well down today.
