sl continues to outperform the market and this is after they lost their 9% holding in b&b
I'm pretty sure they are invested in other banks also so Im not entirely sure why they are consistently holding their ground so well. Price now is the same as on the day of the share surge but look at the pre market dip at the start of the day.

Due to illness i've not realised i'm missing some dividends, so i rang them only to find out that they hadn't got the change of address...
They want to charge me £24 for a replacement cheque which is 1/3 of the money they owe! As i haven't had a list of charges etc from them can they charge so much? It seems a rather high amount.

    Thanks

    When were the dividends paid?

I wonder if the full dividend will suffer with these losses :/

I make that a yield of about 6%, should look very tasty when interest rates start dropping

  • Opposite to yesterday the price jumped up at start of business meaning alot of big money went in for some reason.
Im not sure why, my theory is people are viewing sl as a defensive share, withdrawing from the banks into something which has resisted a falling ftse.

Sl opened at 300, was 289 when I looked and is lower now as the ftse falls and sp500 went to 3 digits last night

    Day's Range: 266.25 - 320.00

It seemed to hit £3.20 bizzare, anyone make a killing.

  • Those kind of prices are only available to people on the dealing floor I think. All the brokers freeze up in times like this, still its a positive sign I guess though I wonder why they love sl now

I noticed that. I had a sell order yesterday at a limit of £2.60 minimum but set to expire at market close. The price never got above £2.55 in the afternoon so it expired. Wish I had left it open for another day to see if I got the £3.20 opening price this morning. (No idea if I would have)

The one day chart shows it opening at £3.20 before falling to £2.35 and then back up to around £2.60.
