    What car is it?

    Ferrari 360.
  • It's a Zafira. I needed a car with higher seating as I am a carer for my mum and she was struggling getting out of my old car which was a little Kia Pride. The Kia has conked out and is not worth fixing, so we were trying to find a car that was more comfortable for an elderly person. I also need space for a wheelchair, but we only use the chair a couple of times a month so although that is important it's not the end of the world if it has to be dismantled.
I've just emailed the place saying about the sloping bonnet thing, as the salesman did know I was very dubious about it, and I want to be able to drive safely for my mum's safety. On their website they say they can find cars for people if you're looking for a certain kind, so I've mentioned this other car, a Ford Fusion, which I had already mentioned to the salesman as perhaps being a better car for me, as its got a fairly flat bonnet and asking if they could find me one of them and they keep the Zafira.
Not holding out much hope though. :(
I only heard of the Fusion last night so hadn't had a chance to investigate them much before I saw this car today.

I would say legally you are at his mercy, the car is now yours, and you have agreed to pay for it. Even if you cancelled the cheque he could sue you for the full amount.

Phone him up ASAP and tell him you are having second thoughts, he might have already started paper work and prep work to make the car yours, the further he gets down the paper work road the less happy he will be when you phone him so phone him ASAP. If you leave it till pick up day that is going to annoy him even more.

    Only my uninformed opinion.

I like to see a girls Volkswagens Bonnet.

    Seriously luv, get some cushions.
  • Don't know if this matters, as it was something that sort of threw me a bit whilst in their office. He was waffling on saying about the car on the paperwork, and he happened to say it had done 38 thousand miles. I said that I had thought it was 31, 000 and he said no, definately 38. I said I could have sworn that it was 31 and that's what I saw on their site, and he said no, definately 38. So I just said that perhaps I had made a mistake then. I was curious about it anyway, and tonight I looked. On their site it now says 38, but on google, they have two search results of it, saying 31 and on another car site where it was advertised it says 31. It was on another car selling site too, but that ad was removed.
Could this help me get shot of it if they wont swap it?

If you do manage to back out of this deal......

Please take a responsible adult with you next time you go looking for a car!!
  • LOL. If I knew anyone that could have helped me buy a car, I would have asked them. I was nervous enough having to go on my own as it was.

Stop being so daft, you will soon get used to it.

    It's really no big deal.
  • You signed and paid for it, he told you the correct mileage when buying it, so searching the net for errors in the advert is a no go really. Unless they state it has something fitted that it doesnt & salesman told you it actually had it.

He corrected the error, You need to speak to them and hope they are in a good mood.
Did you pay a deposit or in full?
