I didn't know you'd gotten married, FG. When did that happen?I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care

The World's turned the corner and has finally flipped.
How calamitous. Never mind a refund, get down the Courts for compensation on top.

5 years ago, perhaps I've just never mentioned it. Or perhaps I just appear singleStay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Are you in England or Scotland? If it's England you still have time to reject the groom for being unhelpful and useless. Though I doubt he'd not not have a counter-claim.0

I think you have a right to request the smaller tree you bought , have you contacted them to bring you a replacement?Vuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0

Can you email them rather than writing? It will be much quicker. If so, I would go for the following:
Hello,
I am unhappy with the Christmas Tree that was delivered to me yesterday (order reference ####).
When the tree was delivered to me, it was very poorly packaged. As such, an amount of soil was left on my carpet. This was noted on the courier's delivery form.
Upon unwrapping the tree, it was clear that the tree is unstable (I assume due to the amount of soil already lost).
I ordered a 4ft tree, but the tree stands 6ft high. Due to the incorrect height, the tree will not fit into the space I had allocated for it.
Due to these issues, I would be grateful if you could arrange for collection of the item and issue a full refund.
Kind Regards,Gone ... or have I?0 -

P.S. I would be willing to forego the refund if you could replace the tree with a smaller husband so that he too can fit into the allotted space. All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0 -

Yes that a good clear letter.Do you really want a refund?wouldn,t you rather ask them to replace the tree with the 4ft one you wanted?Assuming they can get a replacement to you in time that is."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -
Thanks for all the help. I sent an email yesterday at lunch, but have had no response. Should I sent the email again, incase they didn't get it, or give them two working days to respond? The longer it takes them to reply, the less likely I'll be able to get a replacement Xmas tree.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0
