Windows Not Genuine! Oh yes it is!!!

Just did the activation over the phone - it was all automated robot stuff so didn't get to speak to anyone, I had to read my build id blocks of numbers and the automated voice read me back numbers to activate again - which worked ok...
I think if this happens again I'll go the "activate by phone" route again but I won't press the hash key then maybe I'll get to speak to someone!
There's definitely something wrong with that WGA if it can't tell genuine from counterfeit/copied.0 -

If I remember correctly if you want to to talk to someone about activation just deliberately fuff up the code you type in when doing telephone activation a couple of times and you get put through to a person to manually activate it.

This also appeared on my pc today. My son cannot log into MSN and I cannot log in to my online bankings. Do I HAVE to active? Does it COST???"When you want something said, ask a man.

Does anybody do any reasearch theese days, how many posts have been dedicated to Windows Genuine Advantage I dont understand why people dont search the forums, its beyond me.

ITS FREE 0870 6010100 unless you have dodgy copy of Windows.
Ask MS if MSN is affected by the WGA tool.

Have tried right clicking on icon and comes up "you have reached this page in error. This is only for genuine Microsoft ........"!!!!!! Am sooooo glad it's not just me."When you want something said, ask a man.

This has been posted elsewhere on these forums, however at the risk of repeating myself - I solved the problem by revisiting the Windows update site and downloading every update I could find.
Problem sorted.
We had about four machines at work with the same problem and the solution above worked for all of them.0 -

So sorry to upset you. This is my first experience. But I'm sure it's a piece of cake to a techie like you. Never heard of WGA, (and am still none the wiseer) so that's why I'm particularly happy this website exists, and so, I suspect ,are a lot of others who have gained invaluable advice and help."When you want something said, ask a man.
