About unusual toilets, the Gents' at a restaurant near where my brother lives in Germany has a goal painted on the back wall, with a small football hanging from the ceiling _pale_ Sorry if tmi near teatime
The gents at the Philharmonic pub across the road from the Philharmonic Hall are allegedly something to write home about. We were in a rush due to the slow service there so didn't get a chance to inspect them. Food was nice, took ds there for lunch between his rehearsal and Christmas concert last weekend.
I decided I was going to brave Mr T's on the grounds it won't get any easier. I had to go there as I had to change some stuff for dh for a different size. As we were there it made sense to shop as well.
Before we left I went through my Big Plan for Christmas with DS for input and for him to remember what I'd forgotten. Have actually bust the budget and still got a few other bits to get. Am wondering about cheating and allowing myself a little extra, as we have at least 10 extra for lunch on Saturday, 5 extra 23rd-27th, then 5 extra again from 27th-29th with an overlap on the 27th. Will be a dozen of so of us that day.
It's been a really good discipline any way. I would just have bought a load of stuff 'in case'. It made me consider every purchase. Maybe I can just take the extra off January?
Part of the over spend tonight was on a ready cooked chicken, which is something I don't normally do. Plan A was a ready made pizza for ds and didn't know what I was going to have. We got chips from the chippy on the way home. Chicken was £2.80 a portion there and fish £3, so chicken from Mr T was healthier, nicer and cheaper too. There is probably enough for tomorrow. DS says he will finish the chips for lunch tomorrow.
My oranges are looking pretty good, will try and get a pic. Not sure what to do with them. WIll rummage round my craft boxes.
Another advantage of going thru the menu plan with ds is that he is familiar with it and will think ahead for me. As some of you know I have WInterBrain. Will also write a neat version now with when stuff has to come out of the freezer and a shopping list for the 27th for milk and fresh stuff. I'm not buying with a siege mentality this year, though I do have plentyin and lots of possible alternatives to allow for changes in programme/menu/visitors.
Stopped at MIL on the way home. DS rang to see if she needed her car sorting out. She said not now, but did we have room in the freezer. She has made us a Battenberg. MMMMMMmmmmmm. This is a tradition she keeps in honour of my FIL, who loved it. One less thing for me to make LOL! Must put it in the freezer before people start looking at it with greedy eyes!:rotfl:

Congrats Lowsely look after yourself, and yes the tiredness hit me too.
Say Hi to Anne for me Mark too.
Late call from me. Today we went to just south of Lincoln to pick up our new caravan, and take the old one in px.:j:beer::j:beer:
That is the last in our ski-ing session for a good while (Spending the Kids Inheritance-ing), and the first NY in many we will not be away in it, due to an attendance at a wedding on the 29th, so it may be March before we get the chance to use it (spending mid Jan - mid Mar in warmer climbs). This will probably be our last 'van as we hope it will last us 10 years, and we will have to decide if DH still wishes to tow when he is 70:A. This one has a fixed bed, which will be comfier for the longer trips we now take.
Not a lot of OS today as a result, we went to a nearby Asda to get some lunch as we had to wait while they swopped some bits over, and settled for the all day breakfast, far cheaper than a pub., and managed to get some last bits of Xmas pressies for the GNiece & Nephews, mainly clothes which helps their M&D's.
Just going to get back to the dynasaur which could end up as big as DGNephew3.
Take care - DG

Evening everyone
Much later than I wanted to be on here. I love my family to bits, but am sooooo busy this week have so much to do. Got in from work at 6, phone ringing, its Mum, she went off (needed a wee TMI i know :rotfl:) said she would ring back. DD gave me a one ringer so rang her back....lovely chat with her, then phone rang once, twice, third time can hear mum on the answerphone asking if everything is ok, DD can hear this so goes, ring mum back, oh before I can ring her back she rings my mobile. She rings me back on landline........phone calls finished now and I want to go to bed!
I sound like a real grouch don't I, but had sooooo much planned to do tonight and its not going to happen.........stuff can wait, family is more importantant......and breathe out :rotfl:
So......OS for me today has been taking packed lunch and thats it!
I got a small storage box to put DSD xmas hamper in, took the lid off and realised that one corner is split grrrrrrr will need to take back tomorrow and change it....like I need an extra run down to Store 21 in my lunch half hour, had planned to spend it chosing a card for OH, he may have to make do with a hastily made HM one from me.
Have not written out cards for work yet, can we postpone xmas for another week please?
It snowed this afternoon, even though it wasn't forecast here, so gawd knows what we will get on Monday when it is sposed to happen, brilliant sunshine I hope :rotfl:
At work everyone was saying hope its a white xmas etc, I says to them well if it is hope you don't mind me turning up with a plate, going to Allies for roast pots, Vickies for turkey, Deb for the sprouts....well we are travelling down to my family in the south, so if snowed in I don't want beans on toast for xmas dinner
I do have to remember, that although it is our Staffordshire xmas this Sunday, I do have time to get stuff ready for our Sussex xmas over the real xmas, I just get into a stress mode and can't see the wood for the trees.
Anyways, hope you all had a good OS day and am looking forward to getting something done tomorrow.

Yep I know exactly how you feel. Last year I was helping out at pre school. All the other kids were running round with each other in the playground and there was my boy, alone and happy in his own company, up the other end of the playground, blissfully unaware of the fact that I wanted to break down and cry watching himAt least now at nursery he refers to children by name and uses the term "my friends" although he doesn't have any real friendships. Still early days I guess........
I am also LOVING your wedding shoes

Hi all,
Been very busy to-day, did some shopping and knitted a fluffy jumper for a two year old, so not had much time for posting.
Bargainbird...belated happy birthday.
Mark...you are really getting the hang of these posts aren't you, give my love to Ann, hope that she will be feeling better soon.
Tree went up yesterday but need to persuade OH that it needs lights...he likes to check them himself I just wish he would so that the room could be properly set up for Santa's arrival.
We have had snow this afternoon, hopefully the roads will be ok in the morning, dread frost and snow and there is no option here other than drive as we are over a mile from a bus and they are not frequent.
Put most of my stocking fillers into bags to-day, need more it appears, though that I had lots, at least I have put them together now so they will be easier to wrap.
Hugs to everyone, sleep well
