Hi money saving, hope you get your tooth sorted. I don't know where you live but on Sundays I work in an emergency dental clinic so let me know if you don't get sorted!! The receptionist sounds like a pitbull!! Don't stand for poor service though.
I'm late for work so will sign off now!:p0 -

Very cold here again today, and we are to expect large amounts of snow tomorrow
Day off today, and I am going to have a great clean through top to bottom, also have a couole of loads to do in the wm.
Dinner last night was delish, I did a kind of risotto, but cooked in the oven with some of dd's quorn, and onion and my own forzen peppers, OH loved it, and it was a cheap meal.
Tonights dinner will be someting with chips, I was going to do egg and beans, But OH will want some meat after the veggie meal last night, so I may get some sausages and do some grilled tomatoes to go with it.
Hilstep, its nice to see you posting, hope all goes well with your dad xx
Tru, thanks thats my favourite carol :T, I do hope you get your heating sorted soon xx

Up with DS2 & DS3 as usual. We have had our morning tea & coffee for me and the porridge is cooling. DS1 & DD have finished college already so no need to wake them yet.
I'm doing the last bits of present shopping today then I'm done. DS3 has a concert tonight at school. He's playing the euphonium and singing in the choir too. It's his first concert at this school so we're both very excited. DH has the Lions annual Christmas dinner at the restaurant where DD works. She's asked him not to order carrots as they're difficult to serve :rotfl:
Lunch will be a sandwich while we're out and dinner tonight is a quick one of baked potatoes with a choice of beans/cheese/tuna/chilli on top.
Have a good day all and massiveto all who need it.

Morning all
Dark and wet here again this morning, but not so cold. No snow yet but will have to wait and see. Now on days off, have a hairdressers appointment at 10am and a Dr's appointment at 8.50am, then may got to the scales and then home to crack on with the never ending round of washing, drying and ironing, housework etc.
Need to be really productive today as DS1 only has a half day at school tomorrow, so want to get a good clean done as I find it much more difficult when the kids are about. We have friends coming over for eats and drinks Saturday night so don't want them to think that we always live in a pig-sty!
Went to the Carol Service yesterday it was lovely as always, but the Church was absolutely freezing, it was packed to the rafters and you could still see your breath! My feet were completely numb when we came out.
The chicken I got out for dinner last night didn't defrost quickly enough so finished up buying a pack of chicken pieces which I just roasted off and then we had HM special vegetable rice to go with it - it was delish! Now have a whole chicken in the fridge that I will cook today and then decide what I'm going to do with it - any suggestions? We won't be eating it tonight as OH been having chicken and mayo in his sandwiches and doesn't want it tonight as well!
Just need to get last bit of nephew's prezzie, OH's grandparents and last few bits for my boys and something for OH, then the remaining food and drink - then I'm done! (Done in most probably by Xmas Eve!!) Will try to do some wrapping today/tonight if I can.
Have to go now, keep safe and well, hugs to those that need them.

Morning all
This is my last post here for 3 and a bit weeks! Thanks for all the good wishes etc.
I'm all packed bar the makeup bag which I will put in shortly. My parents are picking me up at half 10 to take me to train station. I have 4 and half hour train to Gatwick, then a 29 hour flight to NZ!! Good thing I like my own company then! My friend is so excited about collecting me at the airport, she has made a sparkly welcome sign apparently!
I slept really well til 3am then woke up and started feeling excited/nervous etc! So only dozed on and off after that. Just going to have breakfast and then shower and get ready.
I'm gutted to be missing Strictly Saturday night but I will be cheering on Team Cola from NZ! :j:j
Have a fabulous Christmas and New Year everyone!!

BAH HUMBUG!
Good morning all, (getting the hang of this now!)
I hope that you have had a better start than I have:mad:
Yesterday wasn't that much better either:mad:
Firstly, as a department we had decided that we would not have any "fun" lessons until Friday(aren't all my lessons fun?)there are very good reasons for this trust me.
So, I continued to teach as normal turns out that I was the only member of the department to follow the "rule" (that was implemented last week and that we had various emails and paper memos about as late as Tuesday morning):mad:
Then, I couldn't use either the video(missing cable) and the DVD didn't play :mad::mad: Other than that FANTASTIC.
Had to get in early today given the lack of computer at home which meant getting up at 4.30(not popular with someone we all know:rotfl:)left home at 5.25am and don't feel as though i have had any sleep at all.
Still have got everything done for today and tomorrow. Just need to go to Asda after school to stock up on cakes for my form. Ann had planned to bake(before her mishap) but that is a total non starter.
I am going to take her out for a long drive tomorrow night to have a look at the various lights and so that she feels less isolated. I can't really think of anything else although getting the laptop will help. I am goint to try to get to the repair place tomorrow as we are finishing early(30 mins:eek: but have a feeling the motorways may be busy tomorrow afternoon. Haven't said anything just in case I don't manage it.
Am going to buy a take away tonight which isn't OS or Money saving in any way but am just too tired to do anything else.
Ann is insisting she will be back on her feet(:rotfl:) in the next couple of days which I think is not going to happen. We will see.
Given that, I must say THANK GOODNESS FOR O.S It has enabled us to cope with Ann being laid up. When her knee went we really didn't see any huge difference to our meals given the ammount of stuff in the freezer and the use of various appliances. Since the "bloodbath" things have been a bit more difficult but I have coped. Thanks to all for the help and tips you have given Ann.
Diva, many thanks for you kind words. I hope you feel better soon and that your friend Tris is comfortable and recovering from his latest set back. Ann has a candle that she lights for him and you.
The accident was very bad and one of those things that make you go OOOH and think "how did she manage THAT?" She was very lucky we were told that another micro fraction and the outcome could have been far worse(micro surgery and the possible loss of one or more toes)
TOP TIP- do not go into a kitchen barefoot and when you are in said kitchen watch where you are walking:rotfl:
TOP TIP #2 serrated edges and feet/toes arre not a good match.
I'm sorry for such a boring and ranting post:o(still have my L plates on) normal service will be resumed by Monday:T
Best wishes to all. I will try to read yesterdays posts.
Have a good day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to anyone Ann has missed.
Harribo,Twink ,Pen-Pin! CM, Jayne, Marie, DonnyGal, Pen Pen,ThriftLady, Milioere,Taplady and Ivyleaf :T(All off my very dog eared list can't read any more it is pretty tatty:rotfl:) Sorry to anyone(lots of people) I have missed and, Sorry Ann I DO try.
My form will be here shortly so had better float.
Have a good day.

Good morning all, sitting here with the SAD lamp on. Doesn't look too dark right now and it's not raining, at least not yet. It's really strange, but the clouds are going 'the wrong way' past the window. Left to right rarely happens here.
I think I need some more tea.
I have just put sliced iffy oranges into the dehydrator, an experiment following hearing that people have been drying slices for Xmas decs.
Lots more than that to do today, got to get laundry cleared away and everything tidied up as we have the morris dance side here for a soup, bread and cake lunch on Saturday. Also dd is arriving home from Uni tomorrow. Plenty to do, most of the food for Saturday is in the freezer so that will make a bit of juggling space in there and can get final supplies for Christmas
..with my remaining £8 or so. It's amazing what a focus that has been! I don't much like shopping in December any way.
Hope you all have a good day."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
