Nokia 1101 for 51p profit if you're a Virgin customer

Our another way to look at it:
£14.99 for the phone
-£10.00 for call costs
-£8.00 for cash back via Quidco
= £3.01 for you, a bargain either way :beer::beer: Lawe :wave:0 -
Hiya folks again,
Just thought that i'd let you know, upgrades seem to be included in this offer. I ordered an upgrade for my pal using the quidco link and its tracked already after only a couple of hours.
For those of you who don't know virgin give you £10 towards an upgrade for every £100 you have spent over the last 2 years on credit and the upgrades come with a new sim which you can pass on and £10 credit or up to £30 or was it £35 credit with the more expensive phones. You also get £10 off any phone itself with being an existing registered customer.
What you need to do if going for an upgrade is to chose the option "phone only" as opposed to "phone and joining pack" as it charges you £9 for the pack!
If you have lost a virgin phone, and still know the number its worthwhile registering the sim number online to see if you can manage to get a free upgrade, takes a few hours for the account to be activated but worth it for what could be a freebie phone and new sim. Again this is what i did with my friends phone - next step is to try and get her remaining credit from the stollen phone transferred over when the new phone arrives. Nice considerate theif hasn't used the phone.
Now who was it that was looking for a sim card as i have at least 3 here unused so if you pm me your address i'll send it out to you.
Oh and if you do decide to get a sim from ebay go through https://www.pigsback.com and register yourself for £3 - quidco and rpoints dont seem to be doing cashback for ebay anymore.
Hope this helps. - oh and thanks to original poster. :T :T :T0 -
Cheers for the info!cheekyweegit wrote:I ordered an upgrade for my pal using the quidco link and its tracked already after only a couple of hours.
Did you order recently? As I've been trying to get on the site all day today and yesterday but it keeps failing!

hiya charlie,
Yes did it this afternoon about 2pm, did have problems with the site originally using mozilla firefox which i prefer, but switched over to internet explorer and got through right away. Mozilla seemed to freeze at the checkout page.
If you are still having problems what do to is go through google then type in "virgin mobile phone" into the search box and use the first link "Virgin Phones - UK Offers" to get into the site no problem. - Well it's just worked for me just now.
Used quidco through internet explorer too - forgot to mention this and google is if you dont care about the cash back from quidco.
Oh and try clearing your cache and cookies in both internet explorer and mozilla as this might be the problem your not getting in as its pulling up cached information from earlier.
Good Luck. :j0 -
hiya folks,
i have been reading on this thread and another that a few of you are having problems getting logged into the virgin webiste to register your sims to take advantage of getting the £10 off a new phone (don't forget to see if your entitled to an upgrade if you are a lucky one and get logged in).
Anyway i've just tried again and i am still getting in no problems using internet explorer and though i'd post the direct link from my browser to the registration page for registering your sim to see if this helps anyone.
https://www.virginmobile.com/mobile/youraccount/RegistrationProcessing
and this is the page for logging into your account if you already have one.
https://www.virginmobile.com/mobile/youraccount/YourAccountLogin
Not sure if it will help but its worth a try.
More detailled info is at post 10 here which worked for me - didnt want to clutter up this thread any more:-

Good luck folks and keep trying and dont forget to clear the cookies / cache each time you try and fail to get in- a real pain but it will work, and yes they are changing the log procedure for the "my account page" to your email address instead of your mobile number in the not so distant future but i don't think this is what is causing the problems - just sheer system overload.0 -

If has not shown up on your account, then you'll need to make a enquiry with quidco.
I had a problem with my wife's car insurance that did not show up. 3 months on, got it. Mind you that was for £80 so that could be why it took so long, your enquiry could be sooner.
Only tip I can give when shopping through Quidco is clearing your cookies before starting. Done that since the insurance saga and seems to be working! HTH:beer: Lawe :wave:0 -
Just a Quickie: If buying at £14.99 including a £10 voucher and a free SIM thrown in, does the SIM have £5 credit or is it just a SIM with no credit (Vergin has these as well) ?0
