No need to be rude.
Some people don't shop like that.
They hunt out the cheapest deal they can find quickly then buy it.
If they then find something cheaper they don't bother returning it or trying to return it due to the hassle involved costing them time and money - lots of people I know work over 10 hour days not including travel to and from work.
Now, I'd apologise for being rude if the person I quoted wasn't rude to a new member in the first place. The way that person spoke, was that it was beyond contempt that someone should return something when they were well within their rights to do so, and not because of inconvenience, in the way you describe. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Well done, Morrison's.
What a ridiculous original post. And he even has the temerity to post it in the Consumer Rights section.
Well done, Kim.
The OP is a new member ~ what a lovely welcome you have shown them.

No, they probably trade under the sale of goods act. Quite normal really.
Yes it's normal to trade under the SOGA, but it's also pretty normal to offer additional rights too which must be adhered to, if so. Although, not particularly sure on Morrisons with it being a supermarket. As I said, depends on their T&Cs.There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You said their t&cs have to state otherwise - They don't!This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -
If you had asked at the time of purchase then it would have formed part of the contract. In the circumastances as you have described it's at their discretion, which unfortunately isn't in your favour. Remember their "help" when choosing where to shop in future.0

Shops must conform to the SOGA. Shops can also offer additional rights to those. If something is exempt from those rights, then it should be stated in their T&Cs, or a disclaimer included in the notices for the additional rights. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. What additional rights are you referring to exactly? There is no right to return goods merely because you have changed your mind unless of course the store specifically states you can which is not the case here, you are clearly misunderstanding the situation.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0
