Waitrose or Tesco?

I just adore Waitrose, by far it is the best supermarket, and it is such a joy to shop there.

Saturdays in Waitrose, are not the usual Saturdays one would fine in Sainsbury or Morrisons, the store is quieter for a start, your free to wonder around the aisles and actually take time looking, without feeling your in everyone's way......The food is by far, more superior, yes it is expensive, but then you shop around and see what offers they have, and they generally do have offers on the things that I buy the most.

They do the best Salmon-en-croute ever, the pastry is not greasy, and it is in their easy to cook range, which in itself says and does exactly what it says on the pack.

They have so much more choice! I always used to like Markies food hall, but now realize just how expensive they were compared to Waitrose, the choice of food was not always there, and their food lines went out of fashion, as fast as they arrived, I was also fed up of them changing their shop layout every two weeks or so, just to make you buy more!!

I think in my opinion it is worth driving the 30mins from home, to Waitrose, I think I would be devastated if it ever closed down............!! :rotfl:

I prefer Waitrose and do think many of the items of a higher quality. Luckily the nearest one to me seems to reduce lots of their premium items mid week so I manage to save more as they they are more expensive compared to others.

See if you can figure out when yours does a lot of reduction pricing.
