  • Grr - website editing isn't editing - obviously lots of editing going on at 1and1 tonight.

But have continued to declutter my office - aka find the editing file - and I have floor, lots of it, and it goes all the way under the desk - imagine that!

So cake tins, roasting tin, books on freegle, large bag of paper recycling for car, and I've found where the draft is coming from - it will be sorted out tomorrow.

OOhh - found another misplaced present - I'm winning slowly!

White stuff is slowly climbing up the window.....

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.

well i've done no work whatsoever, but I've made about a million biscuits. Snowflakes, christmas trees & stars for hanging on the tree, and lots of stars to have glitter put on them for boxing day. I'll freeze them in the morning.

Don't think we've got snow here yet, but if moam's got it, I'm not going to go into the office tomorrow :D although I was going to meet a friend for coffee, so that'll be two things cancelled :(.

Better get on and get my prep for tomorrow morning's call done.

My boss is on leave tomorrow and sent an email at 9.30 saying that he can do my 1-2-1 tomorrow 'if I have something to discuss' but otherwise is on leave till 4th Jan... as I'd finished by then, and our meeting is first thing in the morning for him, I get the feeling that he's trying to get out of it . If I have time after I've sorted out my paperwork for the meeting, I might send him an email and see whether he decides we should have a chat after all...

    Apparently he is :D

Spoke to my mentor, who says he's heard that they're doing this to all new hires. He also said that my boss isn't the kind of person to raise it with me as he doesn't like having difficult conversations. He's suggested that I speak to HR if I want to raise it. So I'll put something together tonight - I need to talk to my boss, as I've now had the formal letter from HR and I really don't like the wording, so I want a few things clarified.

Must get my CV updated and published over Christmas...:D

    Prep for tomorrow's call done.

House is starting to cool down and its windy outside. Don't know whether its snowing, but I'll assume I'm going to the gym until I see what the weather is like.

    Email sent to boss.

I have another piece of work that I really should do, but if I start on it there's no way I'll be getting up in the morning!

Better go and boil the kettle as I'll need my hot water bottles tonight :snow_grin:snow_laug

DS just woke with a nightmare and said he heard noises outside his window .... so we looked outside to check ... and saw ..... SNOW YAY:j:T
Bless him he has gone back to sleep one ecstatic little boy "I never saw it snow in the night before Mummy" dreaming of snowball fights and snowmen tomorrow.

School website says they will be open regardless of snow, but when we had the snow in Feb they said pupils didnt need to come in as they didnt have enough staff to cover as so many teachers didnt come in. (We also then had loads of flooding from the thaw and the school toilets flooded so we had toilet-flooding-closures too :rolleyes:)
So I think I will be checking the website tomorrow morning before dragging everyone out of bed.

aaaah it would be so nice if there were 0 days of school left :D and I had nothing needed doing tomorrow anyway so its not wrecking any plans at all AND DH says he will stay off work and play with them in the snow if they are off. Heck I will get DD2 all kitted up and she can roll around in it too :D:D:D

Thanks Pigpen for the offer, tempting, I could be David Bellamy with all your animals...:rotfl:

Grateful, thank you for your very wise words, I believe you're right.....I do hope so....life is just too unfair otherwise.

So my faith in the human race was restored tonight in Morrissons, I'd been doing the promo of spend £40 per week over a 6 week period to get a £25.00 voucher....except I'd already missed week 1, and thought we were still on week 5 (blame my addled brain) when the sales assistant said it was week 6.....I was gutted.

But, a lovely shop assistant said hang on I've got a spare week 5 receipt for you, so I got my week 6 shopping and receipt and the lovely lady gave me the other and I got my £25.00 voucher.:T

I think I'll buy her some flowers as a thank you, how sweet was she to do that.

Anyway, cleared out the chickens and put tons of fresh, clean straw in for them so they were happy and warm.

Also another wash done and TD load done.

Very, very cold here and black ice everywhere so everyone please be careful tomorrow.

Got my hot water bottle in bed with me...love hot water bottles and the person who invented them.

Tag hugs to you, sounds infuriating and frustrating.

Moi and Piggers could probably make it to Sheffield, given plenty of time and daily...no hourly reminders, to brainlikeasieve aka me.:D

But I'm not going anywhere until the temperature is in double figures going toward the red bit of the barometer.;)
