At least I have something for the path in an emergency... I never seem to have salt when I need it.

Well while you are at Morrisons they have value bags for 24p so treat yourself to some - I brought some for my candle decoration thinking that will be handy to tip out on the path when I'm finished;)

Ooooh it was freezing up there (a good sign Dusty??!). Also got rid of a load of cardboard boxes for things that we don't even have anymore! I'll do another bag tomorrow.

Yes it is a good sign as long as it is not just cold because the slopey bits are not insulated, like ours :o It is also a good reason not to keep electrical stuff up there because of the variations in heat ;) Our loft is so like that with boxes for stuff we no longer have, they can go in the recycling in Feb when I have very little garden waste.

    Afternoon all

Bathroom/toilet done today so that's Tuesday's list completed.

One load of washing done and some of it hung outside for a couple of hours, it's not completely dry but nearly and it smells lovely and fresh.

Haven't caught up yet, hope everyone's OK.

I'm such an idiot. I was going to do loads of flying today, but forgot my meds yesterday and only found out today when I went to take today's dose. So I'm really really really dizzy as a result. Sitting on the sofa is almost too much! Might have to go back to bed.

DH is home today, job hunting and he's going to sign on later. We are at the lowest point we have ever been money wise, as his work has died down for the winter. He's just popped out to the bank as we have managed to scrape together some cash to put in there for the rent, the rest of the rent is going on the last CC we have that's not maxed out. Things will get better when spring arrives hopefully if people aren't suffering too much because of the recession and can afford to get work done again.

Sorry to come on here and just moan, the only flying I've managed to do today is hang out the washing.

I am sorry to hear that things are so bad for you at the moment. I hope your DH is able to find something soon. We too are at our lowest ever financially so I really do understand. Big hugs for you and your DH . Don't worry about moaning. That is what we are here for.

One of the benefits of having DH here is that he has set up mu mobile with meds reminders and every time it goes of he gets up and gets my meds and a drink for me. He now knows how carp I am at doing it myself. I thought he could be my carer and I could be his.:rotfl::rotfl:

I have all my presents wrapped and am now doing some last minute 3 day listings on e bay. I can hope! :D

pigpen I do exactly the same corn beef hash as you. Served with baked beans my lot love it. I only have one tin in my store today so very bad planning here. Make note to buy more when I can get out.

We never have any left to freeze.

    Please excuse any typos!

So much for having a break. Old lady (pooch not mother!) threw up everywhere. She does that once in a while - bless her. Anyway, took the opportunity to put both dog beds in the washing machine whilst I'm up to date with the washing.

Once I'd done that there was no point sitting down so I've done 15 minutes in the garden including fill the feeders up. I got some special robin food for my birthday which they love. Their feeder is right by the kitchen window which is lovely. I put stripes on the body lead so as I pottered round the garden she followed me round and kept looking at me as if I was a little mad - she's one to talk!

Meant to say - stripes chewed through an electric extension lead this morning. Luckily it had been unplugged at the weekend or we'd have had one dead doggy! Looks like we'll have to get the crate back down which is a shame as she'd done so well but her safety is important. The extension lead was behind the skirting behind a sofa so how she got it - daft pup!

School run and madness now descend - hugs to all xx

I'll be fine.. think it may just be that AF was supposed to arrive yesterday and has hibernated for a few days.. Bet she arrives christmas eve.. was christmas DAY last year.. a few days late!!

Corned dog hash.. (lazy Pigpen method)

1 large tin corned dog chopped into inchish cubes
    1 large onion chopped small
3 carrots.. sliced diced or whatever
half a dozen potatoes or so.. chopped into 1 inchish cubes
gravy granules.. I use about 3-4 tablespoons and taste it when it is almost done and add more if needed.
1.5 pints water.. add more or less as you see fit.. depends how thick you want it really

Chuck whole lot in a pan or slowcooker and cook until the potatoes are soft

Sometimes I add more corned dog a bit before it is done so it has some chunky bits

and I use 2-3 times what is listed here..

I make sure ALL the potatoes are out before freezing excess though as they are disgusting when thawed.

Cheers pigpen your a angel 00020440.gif
