Greenbee - John Lewis are doing a retro sweet jigsaw. Can't remember how many pieces but they do a big one and a little one...they're doing 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. I've also seen them at our local garden centre.
I'm off to the attic to throw some stuff away xx0 -
In the middle of a hail storm here - so glad I did go out earlier but I do want to go into the garden and pick some crab apples.
I've made the tied decoration for our front door and a wreath for my neighbours door - which I've been down and attached for when she returns.
Just need to do our wreath now - the mess I've made in the kitchen is quite amazing. Why does this not surprise me??Hex, Dusty - do you put ash in your compost? Or would it be good for digging into clay soil?
The potash disappears really quickly out of it so I don't think you can store it. I bung it in my compost and just use the fresh stuff in early spring to go around my fruit bushes. I add a little coal to my fires and still bung the whole lot in the compost as it only makes up a very small part.Any idea where I can get a decent 1000+ piece puzzle? I found a couple of nice ones on line @ natural collection, but I've left it too late as they won't be delivered before Christmas... and I need something to keep everyone occupied! (no children... just lots of (supposedly) grown ups!)
What sort of picture do you want. Morrisons had lots for about 90p this week - not very exciting pictures. TKMaxx had loads, do you have one of those nearby? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Good morning all,
Hope everyone well, been to town this morning and now recovering slowly, we have some of the white stuff (yeah!). Fluttering very gently, not really flying at all, but still here!

Hi I am wonderfully snowed in.
We collected DS3 yesterday so he is delighted at the chance of skiing. We have the fire lit and plenty of food so are all happily ensconced here.
Puppy is about 7 months old according to our vet so it should be easier to help her to overcome her fears. Last night she got on the kitchen window ledge and tried to eat one of my plants. She upset all the cacti too.
Today has been a floor cleaning day here. We have done all the downstairs floors. Mopped the hard floors with disinfectant and cleaned the living room carpet with the vax. I only have pine disinfectant so the place stinks. The Zoflora seems to have been used up and not replaced.
pp DK and Gbee I put our wood ash on the road to help get the cars out as it gives a bit of grip too. I also put it on my garden and in the compost bins.
PP I have had hens for nearly ten years and this is the first time we have had no eggs for two months. Any ideas? I was hoping to make lemon curd as gifts today.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

At least I have something for the path in an emergency... I never seem to have salt when I need it. As long as I don't let anyone into the house it won't matter!
It's COLD here... CBA to light the stove as I'm going out later, but may have to put the heating on as it's almost too cold to type0 -
If you have body heat then hug me.. I am freeeeeeeeezedtoottifrootti wrote: »Morning everybody
Kaz the wrapped fudge looks fabulous - WTG you !!!
kazm you have a month before you go back to work all going well so why not try to do at least 4 boxes from the attic - thats one a week - there is bound to be stuff you can throw without anybody in the family objecting?
toots xx
As for clearing the attic I think I need to clear the double garage in the house first so that we can actually have a bedroom that looks like its supposed to, and a spare spare room that looks like an office.
On of my quotes always disappears - I know I did 3
Greenbee - Past times had some nice ones when I looked the other day. Thought about getting one for my dad but then realised that with his sight and mind set he'd probably end up bodging the bits that didnt fit (bit like him in the house  :rotfl:)
Jill - you sound really positive today. Having the plan must have worked for you
rosepink - hope you feel better soon and that things pick up
Pen pen - OMG that cream cake. Choux pastry and fresh cream cakes are probably the biggest thing I miss since I had to start my GF diet so that pic is just cruel :rotfl:
lilme - looks like a great escape
Ok so what have I done apart from bake muffins at a ridiculous hour of the morning./
Been into town and got DS last few bit. Couldnt get the jeans he wanted but got another pair in a similar style but OMG £60 for a pair of jeans . Finally managed to get a toy car for my brother which is just as well as I havent even had the vouchers from Tesco for his race day yet. At least I can make something up and print of a voucher type thing so he knows.
Have emailed Amazon re missing package and will check for reply in a min. If that doesnt come poor DH wont have any pressies unless I go out again over the next week. Need to add up my spends again I think!
Have also got some coloured paper to make snowflake decorations with DD over the weekend. Hopefully they'll kook good especially if she uses her array of scissors with crinkly edges.
Need to get some lunch (and not chocolate again!!!!!), make sausage rolls, find something to wear for tonights chinese meal out with work colleagues (am thinking black city shorts with tights and boots and a red roll neck sweater but dont want to look like mutton dressed as :rotfl:) and put the darn tree up so when friends come round tonight at least one room looks Christmassy (even if it is the one that needs painting)
I'm away
ETA would love to be snowed in like poohbearMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0
