    Pigpen - you will be pleased to know that we now have a Christmas Tree - but we can't decorate it yet as it's raining here and it is in the stand drying off. Don't want to put lights on a wet tree:eek:

    ...stick it in a dish, cover it with foil and pop it the oven on gas mark 4, 180C for a couple of hours. Cook the veg seperately otherwise they'll get covered in lamb grease. If you want and you have it, stick a couple of sprigs of fresh rosemary on top at the start of cooking.

    Those followed on quite nicely I thought

    Just when I thought things were finally over re NQT year, evil deputy said to me that she needed to talk to me about my NQT stuff today - she said she couldn't do it this afternoon as she was going on a course, but could do it tomorrow - I asked her when, and she said she didn't know - I've no idea what it's about, and am now sat here worrying again. :( I'm meant to be going out to the supply teacher's xmas do tomorrow and it's quite a way to travel, and I've got to be there for 5.30pm, so she'd better not insist on it being after school! At least tomorrow is a fairly easy day in terms of lessons.

    As Grateful says go in tomorrow and politely ask her to agree a time, and explain that you have commitments outside of school that mean you have to leave promptly today. She's behaving in a very unprofessional manner.

    Greenbee - the fire, it could be because the wind is in a different direction and perhaps blowing a bit back down the chimney
    I think you're probably right. It's fine now. Or it might have been because I had it hot for longer than I have before, so it could have been stove fumes rather than coal fumes.

    I've had a lovely salt scrub and a manicure (so my nails are tidy!). I now need to make some food and sit in front of the fire to do my physio. Or I could read a book... or something... I need to have an early night too, so want to wind down a bit.

    Back later...

    I take it back.....
    I'm STRESSED!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    DD has just told me that she's in a concert on Friday morning and has three pieces of music that she doesn't know. She's had them two weeks. She can't practise tomorrow because she's in a concert at school in the morning and then again in the evening!:eek::eek::eek:

    Options:

    - let her have the day off school so she's just not there (she'll also miss all the last day fun and I'll miss the last free day I was counting on to get things finished).

    - send her. She'll never forget to practise again!

    The problem is that although I can play the piano these would take me at least a week to suss out and help her with....they're hard! Dozy bug*er :rotfl::rotfl:

    Off for HHC in bedroom (that's cleaning - nothing else - for all you dirty minds!!) xx
