  • Zara - yea it was, as I say no shame at all!!!
    Jinky - you could try and say all the stuff in the loft is Daz's so not your responsibilty to tidy it as it was there before you moved in?!!! Do you think that would work with Toots and Pigpen?
    Soappie - it's been dark and gloomy and drizzling ALL day long here, makes me really fed up, but at least we haven't snow like Greenbee and Hex
    Anyone any ideas for the lamb shoulder yet? Was thinking of browning it off and putting slow cooker with onion, s &p, stock and mint, carrots and potatoes. Or is it better roasted? God I'm useless with different cuts of meat!!

    I have finaly started to wrap presents - did 11 until the CBA mood kicked in!! DD1 just wants loads of bits, added up what I have already bought and still have £40 to spend on her!! what else can I get I wonder?

    I know it was aweful! Probably trying to get a 'name' for themselves and any kind of publicity. It turned my stomach hearing what they did. :mad:

    It's no wonder I've not done my list....I haven't had time! Today I've;

    - walked dogs
    - went to watch Christingle
    - worked
    - sorted clinic for tomorrow
    - 5mGC x 2
    - vacuumed all upstairs
    - scraped stairs and vacuumed
    - brushed downstairs
    - vacuumed downstairs
    - brought christmas tree decoration hangers
    - finished hanging the last bits on the Christmas tree
    - taken DD and her friend to sports practice at local high school
    - fed DD
    - fed DS and his friend
    - walked DS's friend home
    - watered/emptied dogs
    - HHC in master bedroom
    - sorted 7 things in every room
    - worked again

    Now I need to;
    - put a wash on
    - help dd with keyboard practise
    - make list for tomorrow
    - HHC in master bedroom
    - clean bathroom

    I think that's it! The best of it is I'm not stressed. I'm not doing stressed this Christmas! If it's not done then it's not done. Next week is going to be doing fun things with the children (whether they like it or not!!):rotfl:. DD wants to do cookies for all the neighbours/family etc with their names iced on them. She keeps walking past houses and asking who lives there!!! I've told her she can do close neighbours....NOT the whole estate! She's also asked if she can bake cookies and write 'thank you' on them instead of thank you cards this year. I think that's a lovely idea.

    Right, off I go xx

    When freezing the parboiled potatoes, how long can you freeze them for? Did some a LONG time ago and forgot about them and does it matter that I didn't put any oil on them.

    I haven't a clue how long they freeze mine are never in the freezer more than a few weeks. If they haven't gone a funny colour they are probably ok. I put the oil on them as then I can just cook them as they are but again if the colour is ok I'd just go ahead and use them.
