    oh I did do.....made no difference....pure bloody ammonia:eek:_pale__pale__pale_
feel ill now from the fumes of that plus the tons of bleach I have used to kill the bacteria and washing powder and vinegar to kill the smell of that!!!

I was just about to say that you would need to use biological soap powder as the dog can still smell his scent even when washing with bleach. Keep washing the area he goes to with the powder and he should stop going there.

So far today I have...... went back to bed, slept a little, lunched the kids and decluttered them back to school, tea with a full pack of hobnobs.... not good.

I'm off for a HHC at 1.15 anyone want to join me?????????????

Got a question - who was it yesretday was parboiling potatoes to freeze for roasties ?
Well if I do that do I parboil then cool and then freeze ?
Then to use do I defrost first or do from frozen ?
If from frozen how long do they take ?

Hi I think this was me - I peel, cut to size and boil for about 5 mins. Then toss in oil or as last night a bit of beef dripping from Sunday lunch. I then freeze on foil trays, wrapped in clingfilm when cool. I cook them from frozen, just take out the freezer and chuck in the oven in the tray, they take about 30 mins depending on size.

    Back to work now

Looking better. Moved three items from the attic that weren't ours:eek: and we've lived here 14 years! Can't get at most of the stuff cos when we had the extra insulation 2 years ago the guys chucked most of the stuff to the far side and we have no boards down. To be fair there isn't that much stuff up there but there still could be less.

Greenbee I am reliably informed it is snowing in Hook?
It's snowing here too... and it's getting worse. If your DH had to drive home tonight, make sure he leaves at a sensible time. No one in the part of the world can drive when there are more than two snowflakes...

polly - if your attic doesnt need doing then I think you should get your star
I agree - after all, we all aspire to keeping things tidy once they're done, so I think polly probably deserves a special award if she's got nothing left to substitute... she's a model flylady :A

Parcel posted, strapping for ankle and fuel for stove bought. Washing dried and brought upstairs to sort. WM has done a cleaning cycle (strange... it doesn't smell, but sometimes clothes smell musty when they come out ). Need to iron before I can do any more.

Nearly time for team meeting, so need to move the ironing nearer the phone :p

I have completely cleared and cleaned what will be bedroom 5. It still has a charming avacado bath in it (and will for a few weeks yet) but the rest of it is spotless. I think I too am going to go off list and work on AnW's dot to dot method.

    HHC at 1.30 anyone?

Greenbee - His meeting is due to finish at 4. He is a small hire corsa (his company Volvo clutch failed after 13 months and is in for warranty repair ) so not ideal.

The silly dog just burnt himself on the wood burner .

I'm not a model anything! It's more likely that my standards are lower than anybody elses!

    Off to serve up dinner.
  • *Stretches* Ergh, law is not a fun subject first thing in the morning...*is grumpy about that...*

Anyway - broke my massive list down into more managable chunks because it was getting me down just looking at the mahoosive list of things still to do and not knowing when or where to do them!!!!

Divided it up into today, thursday, friday and weekend stuff to do - so that should be a minor improvement~ And I thought although the lists prepared were good - they really didn't suit me what with not having this, and not needing this room, or this activity but having an extra room and being in al day one day and only a few hours another... It didn't really make any sense, so I made my own, using all the relevant rooms and tasks and adding my own in.

And I got rid of all the computery stuff to do (mostly) because I did it. All. On Monday when I was still on holiday because SO went into town to meet up with a client and I was home alone for three hours. It's amazing what you can get done in five hours and a surprisingly good internet connection! BUT I FORGOT TO POST IT!!! BWWWWAHAHAHAHWHAHAHWHAAHA HELP ME OH MIGHTY GODS TO BE SORRY FOR MY SIN!!! Oh wait...wrong universe. Sorry!

Here's today's list at any rate.

    Wednesday 16th December 2009
    Clean desk
    File Paperwork on desk
    Five loads of washing
Hang out, put on the airer
    Do recycling
    Fill up coal bucket
Clear a cluttered top in my room
    Remove and wash all bedlinen
    Hoover mattress
    Air the duvet
    Replace bedlinen
Dust PC , monitor and clean screen
    Clean desk of food marks
    Take crockery downstairs
    Clear clutter from desk shelves
Wipe down and bang out keyboard
    Collect all dirty laundry
    Quotes from books in library
    ***Defrag the computer***

Looks quite good from here since it's a half day today, so I've got lots of stuff to do on the home front rather than the compy front. Only other thing that I forgot to add, defrag the fr*gging computer, since it's suddenly gone slower than a wind-up window.

You can so tell what I'm hoping will happen some time in the next few months - SO (significant other) suddenly became DH (Dear Husband)....
