Eeewwww Jinky not a pleasant thing to do!!! Breathe through you mouth as the smell won't be as bad
Poohb - when I get organised and more settled I may indeed drag it out and make summat, thanks for the help of assistance, will shout you when I need you!!

Just having my coffee with the back door ajar and the heating on, why I hear you ask are you doing that? It's because of the bleach fumes from bleaching the bathroom went OTT in DD1's opinion!!!! House reeks of it, but the bathroom is sparkling and even the grout is white again!
    oh I did do.....made no difference....pure bloody ammonia:eek:_pale__pale__pale_
feel ill now from the fumes of that plus the tons of bleach I have used to kill the bacteria and washing powder and vinegar to kill the smell of that!!!

    Afternoon all

    I've cleaned all the bedrooms
including changing the bedding and it's been washed and it's draped round indoors. I have never been in the attic. I'm never going to go in the attic. It was boarded out a couple of years ago after a major clearout (where DD2 went up there and passed everything down and 75% of it was chucked away or charity shopped). So no star for me today.

Also vacuumed right through downstairs again after the cats had a wrestling match. It's a wonder they're not bald.

Took the dog out, it's cold but not actually freezing or raining so it could be worse.

Not caught up yet so I hope everyone's OK.

There's a new Simon's Cat if anyone else likes them :

I am f-f-f-f-freezing, heating is on full whack and I just can't get warm. No way am I painting today, far too chilly !!!! (any old excuse eh LOL)

Got lots of errandy things done this morning, did tetrapak and glass recycling, bought white paint (so at least if I want to paint I now have the paint), and bought some random food bits in Sainsburys - stuffing, cranberry sauce, mincemeat, etc

Can't get quorn roast anywhere for love nor money so we are just going to have to have quorn fillets which are basically the same anyway.

Got a question - who was it yesretday was parboiling potatoes to freeze for roasties ?
Well if I do that do I parboil then cool and then freeze ?
Then to use do I defrost first or do from frozen ?
If from frozen how long do they take ?

Have decided we are going minimal on Christmkas lunch this year so quorn fillets instead of the roast, no starter - we always end up too stuffed for pudding and we'd rather have the pudding anyway, plus kids get antsy, and then no mash only roast. Not buying any pointless snacky things, DH always gets a load as pressies so he will be happy and I wont stuff my face and put on weight.

Oh yeah - result at SW last night - lost 2 lbs :j:j
Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)
    NSDs: 3
    Walk to school: 2/47
    Bloater challenge: £0/0lbs

Congrats on the weight loss Jill. I agree re the snacky stuff.

I have fed the birds (thanks for the reminder Dusty), had lunch and put the wood burner on. You realise just how cold it is when you stop moving.

Greenbee I am reliably informed it is snowing in Hook?

pollybear - thanks for the Simons cat. He has a website now and a fan page on facebook! Can't you substitute on the attic? I need to - ours is empty because the roof is very low, the hatch is tiny and I am mildly claustraphobic (sp?) .

Time to start again with a HHC at 12.30. How many books can I remove from our bedroom? Answers on a post card please.

Bit of a stressful morning here, rent is due which is always a worry. DH's work has died down for the winter and he's owed money by a customer too which doesn't help.

Kazm what did your DD do? Post on the thread?
Hope the work picks up and the customer pays so that you dont have to worry about paying the rent. As for DD, my fault I left the computer and the thread logged in so she made a very sweet smiley christmassy post. I was more concerned that she hadnt read a few pages back and discovered her xmas list (which of course has now been deleted) Luckily she hadnt I'd have known if she was guilty :rotfl:

Hugs wilf - forgot you had anaemia too. I've just finished my iron infusion as I didnt want it to get so low that I need blood transfusion.

Well done Jill 2lb is great to lose

greenbee - will do the recipe this evening

    jinky - phew

polly - if your attic doesnt need doing then I think you should get your star

Right just time for a quick cuppa and bite to eat (but not chocolate or fudge today!) before I get changed to see DD in her play. Guess I'll need some money too they usually find any excuse to take it off us. Will have to go to the cash point as I have aout 4p in cash :rotfl:

Hex I don't know what to do instead. I've kept my cupboards tidy, the only things in the wardrobe out of place are two bags of Christmas presents and they'll be gone next week! No utility room, no study. I washed outside the back door today and the step which was covered in muddy dog footprints and also gave the doormat a wash with stardrops. That doesn't sound like a fair substitute for a loft though!
