    Morning all

.....and the frost lay all around deep and crisp and even.

PLEASE GO OUT AND FED THE BIRDS THIS MORNING

then come in and put your head in your loft/attic - if you cannot see your breath when you breath you certainly don't have enough insulation - if you can see your breath don't go in there you'll get hypothermia.

my eaves are full of mice... I am quite often tempted to chuck a few cats up there to deal with their scampering
Good idea. the cats will love it :D and it usually works.

BTW, the nearest I'll get to our attic is me glancing at the loft hatch and muttering' I really must get that cleared'.......supposed to be having it insulated...at some point.:D
You can't clear it out... the junk is keeping you warm :p. Well... I wouldn't start on it till you've ebayed everything else you can get your hands on, and then start bringing things out a bit at a time to sort.

Kaz - fab fudge. Any chance of a link to the recipe please :D

Been to gym... one load of laundry in. Fire de-ashed... need to go out later to get cash, strapping for ankle (have to take it off this afternoon and put it back on at night), logs, kindling & coal... so that'll be my lunch break! Oh yes, and post a parcel.

Plus I need to sort out a christmas present for my grandfather's widow - one of those charity presents should make it there on time... Then tonight I'll have to work out what last few bits & pieces are missing.

Hope to get some ironing done and biscuits made too.
