Kazmeister, this is me easing myself in...:o. Occupational health highighted a number of areas where I need to be supported on my phased return, including regular meetings with management to see if I'm ok, reduced work load, shadowing with my colleagues amongst many other things. Not one has occurred, so between myself and my colleagues I've decided to start my own phased return back into work.

And yes, I feel neglected, ignored and abandoned...but it's my job, one I actually like and I also need the money so I don't have many options really. Its a grin and bear it situation. I think it was very apparent to those I was in the meeting with today how 'unlike myself' I was though. A shadow of my former self describes me exactly._pale_

Anyways, I've stopped procrastinating about 1 thing and ordered my Turkey online, I've gone mad and got one from the Well Hung Meat  company. Much as I love chasing the bargains at christmas I haven't got the energy or strength to go out shopping much and cannot bear to be stuck without a turkey.

They have a scheme also that any person whose introduced via a registered person then you both get money off vouchers but I didn't know anyone already registered to 'introduce me'. So not money saving but energy saving and that'll do for me at the mo.;)

BTW, the nearest I'll get to our attic is me glancing at the loft hatch and muttering' I really must get that cleared'.......supposed to be having it insulated...at some point.:D

why does a PC need defragging? What does defragging do? And what happens if you don't defrag?

Sometimes when computers store or save items, they just throw it anywhere on the hard drive...
To defrag, means that the computer, trys to put that back into some sort of order.
If you dont defrag, it CAN mean the fragments of files takes longer for the computer to find, when you try to access them.
So, defragging, CAN help speed up your computer, espeacially if you have alot of files/pictures/music on it.
If your PC is relatively new, it shouldn't be a problem...

Yes but they're running out fast and they're quite dear, I did hunt around but cheaper organic online have sold out so I didn't have much option for online ordering.

Why's BIL being like that then?

nopot2pin thanks for explaining defragging and in a way I could understand as well. I really am hopeless with computers but this one is 3 years old and never defragged, I'll give it a go. Thanks again
