  • Oh dear, I'm sorry but there is no way I am going to clear out the ATTIC!!! I've never even seen in the attic, it's much too high up, but I do know it's full. Otherwise I'm doing well tis week but why does a PC need defragging? What does defragging do? And what happens if you don't defrag?

    And why I have run the thread for over 2 years.. because I need to be here just as much as anyone else!! I also know just how demoralising and overwhelming it can all be and just how much difference it makes to see some level of progress.

    I also have more people living in my house than .. can I say 'everyone' here??? There are 9 of us here.. plus 6 cats, 2 rabbits and 3 fish..

    but I have got VERY good at throwing stuff out.

    wash bed settee duvet
    charge new carpet sweeper
    Arrange assisted uplift
    clean freezer
    Finalise those last minute presents you have to buy..
    Post all the presents you need to post
    Wrap all the presents for family/friends
    shredding
    get new rings for hall curtain pole
    get watch battery



    Monday ~ Kitchen of Grot
    Level One
    Declutter and mop/vacuum the floors
    Level Two
    Wipe the big appliances and units.. don't forget kickboards!
    Wipe small appliances and replace.. do one thoroughly.. descale or decrumb or degunge!
    Clear and wipe a shelf and a window sill
    Run the appliances through a clean cycle! degunge filters etc
    Level Three
    Wipe the table and replace the cloth if necessary.
    Sort through and clean out ALL the food cupboards..[STRIKE] Sling the grot that has been in there since time began!![/STRIKE]
    Extras
    Thoroughly clean out the fridge..
    Wash the windows
    Get those last minute cards and presents posted!!
    Dust and Deweb
    Tuesday - bathroom, study and other grotty places!
    Level One
    Clean the loo and the shower and the basins!
    [STRIKE]Defragment PC [/STRIKE]and run spyware scans while scrubbing the walls!
    Level Two
    Declutter and vacuum/mop floors
    Level Three
    Wash bathmats/shower curtain and furry bog hats
    Extras
    Finalise those last minute presents you have to buy..
    Post all the cards you need to post. Last posting dates are drawing very close.
    Wrap all the presents for family/friends/teachers etc
    Finalise shopping orders/lists for your christmas food shop.. remember shops are only closed for one day!!!!
    Wednesday ~ Master bedroom
    Level One
    [STRIKE]CLEAR OUT THE ATTIC!!! PMSL... sorry.. it HAD to bed done![/STRIKE] Dont have one thank goodness - it would be full knowing me!
    Strip bedding, and wash it.. and get the bed remade.. before bed time! Change duvet cover etc too!
    [STRIKE]Declutter the floor of all mess and clothes and junk![/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    Vacuum floors in bedroom
    Clear out and organise any large cupboards ou haven't done in a while.. I am fairly certain I recall someone mentioning a large untidy cupboard.. :p
    Organise presents and cards to bed sent to those for whom they are intended..
    Level Three
    Binbag dance
    [STRIKE]Empty and wash out all the bins[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Replace any lights bulbs that need it, check smoke alarm[/STRIKE] all done this week by the elctrician
    Extras
    Wash windows
    Wipe the bedframe [STRIKE]and any paintwork [/STRIKE]
    Dust and deweb
    [STRIKE]Clear away any junk on surfaces that shouldn't be there! [/STRIKE]

    One of my attics contains only mice... I just hope they aren't rats.. they are scary.

    There are only 3 people, 1 dog and 3 fish here but still stand by my guns!

    ETA.only one attic here and I don't go into the eaves!!!

    my eaves are full of mice... I am quite often tempted to chuck a few cats up there to deal with their scampering

    Good idea, haven't got a cat....I asked OH to go in there to find my garland thing for the mantlepiece(couldn't find it among the carp in the main attic...........ended up buying a new one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
